I have had several dogs, birds, bunnies, and hamsters while growing up which I helped care for. I started taking care of and grooming horses about 8 years ago at several ranches, and I continued to work with horses through UNL by being president of the Husker Equestrian Team. In 2018 I started work as a kennel assistant at one of my hometown vet clinics. I was in charge of feeding, walking, cleaning up after, and giving any medications to boarding animals. The types of animals that I cared for ranged from dogs and cats to bunnies and several types of rodents. Ever since 2019, I worked as a veterinarian assistant at the same clinic I worked at as a kennel assistant. However, I did still tend to the needs of the boarding animals from time to time. I moved to Omaha summer of 2022, and worked as a veterinary assistant until April. In April I began working as a dental assistant. I have a one year old cat named Nova who I have known since day one. She moved with me to Omaha when she was about 8 weeks old. I adopted a three legged cat Cressida in the beginning of September! I also take care of the neighbors’, family friends’, and co-workers’ animals frequently.
