Safety, trust & environment
Safety first - I pay close attention to environment - weather, terrain, other animals, etc. I like to clean food and water bowls every day or two [at most]. Also happy to do litter boxes daily or however often you like. For Drop Ins & Walks, if you leave out towels/wipes/mudbusters, I will wipe down paws and dirty muzzles after our adventures. For summer/winter, if your dog has shoes for walking, let me know! Mine does =) If you have any questions, please let me know and we'll sort out if I'm a good option for your pet's specific needs.
Information Hope A. would like to know about your pet
Meds/Vet details - Please ensure your vet info is in Rover for me in case of emergency. I'll ask you to do it during our M&G too. Doggos - Reactive behavior on leash [pulling, growling, barking, lunging at other dogs/people/prey]? Hiding/Fearful behaviors? History of escaping/climbing fences? Resource guarding [food or anything else they see as high value]? These are not deal breakers. I can work with them, but I need to understand if it's normal behavior for them or not. And work with you to find the best way to manage it while you're gone. **Sometimes dogs love me when they meet me with their mom/dad around, but completely shut down in our first drop in visit. If your dog has ever worried about new people, please tell me beforehand. We can do multiple meet and greets ahead of time and make a plan using what they value most [foods, walks, toys etc]. My main concern is keeping them safe.
A typical day
It really depends on what your pet finds fun! Doggos: I try to find new trails for sniffaris and on leash exercise. I also love working on training with rewards, plus the mental exercise helps tire them out. Tell me their commands/hand signals and I can work on that with them. Enrichment puzzles/Frozen lick mats?? Happy to do that, just let me know what they like! 🐶 Kitty Cats: I go with their vibe. Will always see if play interests them, but the older cats I watch over tend to just want a warm lap to purr and shed in...or they just tolerate me sitting near them while they loaf in their box 😹

Pet care experience
I’ve cared for my own dogs since they were 8 weeks old and have experience with many breeds and sizes—from Toy Poodles to Irish Wolfhounds. I love them all and proudly identify as a dogtrovert. Puppies welcome! I work in digital marketing as a freelancer, so my schedule is usually flexible. For my dog, our day to day includes walks, parks, play, sniffaris, snuggles, brushing, training, and enrichment. I’m also studying Herbalism & Nutrition for dogs [working toward my canine nutrition certification with Feed Real]. Before booking a new client, I *always* ask for a Meet & Greet so I can learn about your dog’s routines, preferences, and any special needs—like diet, medications, health status, reactivity, or training goals. Their health and happiness are my top priority. You can count on me for timely updates with photos and notes after every visit. I’ll always flag anything unusual (like loose stool or changes in behavior) so you stay informed. I’m committed to reliable, responsive care and will follow your guidance for what your dog enjoys—whether that’s neighborhood walks, quiet playtime, or practicing skills in new environments. Winter Safety Notice If road or weather conditions become unsafe (ice, snow, negative temps), I may delay or cancel visits to protect your pet and myself. I’ll communicate promptly about any changes. Because winter can be unpredictable, I strongly recommend ensuring you have a nearby backup contact available in case I can’t safely reach your home. If it sounds like a good fit, please reach out 💙 I typically reply within an hour and am happy to answer any questions!

Reviews

My kitty Mimi loves her! Hope is consistent on time and so loving to my kitty. I am always nervous to leave her because she has separation anxiety, but Hope fills that spot so well I think she loves her just as much as us!

Cannot say enough great things about having Hope take care of our senior kitty while we are away! She has amazing communication and she watches all his habits with an eagle eye. She gives us peace of mind while we are way from him and that is priceless.

Beyond blessed that we found Hope! She is always so great with her communication about her visits with our senior cat. She truly cares about him, and it is the best feeling to know she’s taking care of him while we are away.

Second time booking with Hope she is dependable. She’s caring and knows your pet well and learn her habits. She is amazing. I will always use her.
