Pet care experience
I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have been pet sitting for more than ten years. I’m experienced with all sizes, breeds, and ages, and have no problem with anxious or more shy dogs either. I’m really missing my family dogs a few states away and looking for some new pups to love on in New Haven since I’m unable to get my own right now.

Holly has watched my chihuahua mix Lola multiple times and I can always rest easy when I know Holly is with her. Holly was always timely and very professional. She was willing to come over and learn Lola’s routine before her first time watching her and she even sent me photos of my girl during the course of my trip! Holly’s love for dogs truly shines though. I cannot recommend her enough!

I approach dogs based on their energy, and if they are a little more shy, I’m happy to sit and chat with them until they’re comfortable to be pet or play. On the opposite side, I’ve had hyper puppies before too, and I love the energy, and am not scared to tire them out with a long walk.

I’d like to know the temperament of your pet so I know how to approach them, as well as how you expect they’ll walk or behave with someone they’re just meeting. I think I can handle any kind of dog, but want to make sure I’m coming in with the best energy for your pup!
A typical day
I love a good long walk with a pup, and am happy to play fetch or tug of war, as well as take them to run if they enjoy that. I also love to snuggle up with them on colder days and take naps and give them lots of pets and affection.

Availability
I work a hybrid job, so I have availability during the week and the weekend. I’m happy to do early morning walks or walks after work as long as it’s not too late. I’d love to have a dog I can care for on a routinely basis so we can become good pals, and establish real trust.
