I've cared for 5lb dogs and 90lb dogs, terrified dogs and hyper dogs, puppies and seniors. I believe in structure and boundaries in my home & that a tired dog is a happy dog. Each dog in my home is given 1:1 time and attention, whether it's a 30-minute obedience session, leisurely walks in the evening, or snuggling while we watch a movie. I primarily host dogs over the weekend or holidays because I work a full-time job, Monday-Friday. I own my home & am able to offer off-leash freedom for dogs in my backyard (surrounded by a 6' cedar privacy fence). I offer dog boarding during the week on a case-by-case basis. Dogs who stay with me MUST BE CRATE TRAINED. I'm a huge proponent of training, so you will usually also find me training my own dogs or my Rover visitors. Depending on each owner's comfort-level, I try to plan fun activities for your pup during their stay (think brewery, learning new tricks, a visit to the pet store, puppy play date) & I am also comfortable reinforcing training. Holly recently took care of our two Doberman Pischers for 10 days. We very rarely leave our dogs behind, so it was important to find the right person. Holly was extremely thorough in getting information up front, including a brief meeting a few weeks beforehand so our dogs could be introduced to her pack. Once we left, it was clear that we made the right choice! We received constant updates and photos, and we could tell that she was really getting to know our dogs' personalities, providing exercise and mental stimulation, and of course lots of love! Her home was quite busy with a pack of four Dobermans and an Aussie, and I'm not sure who had more fun: Holly or the dogs! We couldn't recommend Holly more highly.
We had an amazing sitter experience and heartily recommend Holly (even if it means sharing her)! She goes above and beyond in care, training and communication. From the initial meet-&-greet to our pick-up, Holly was professional, thorough and thoughtful. (She also takes awww-inspiring photos!) We truly believe our pup is in pouty-mode today -- missing Holly and her pups!
I can't emphasize enough how greatful I am for Holly! My pup loves hanging out with other pups, and he waa able to do this with her pups and others while with her. Holly was also beyond flexible and accommodating! I have very high expectations when it comes to the care of my pup and Holly surpassed them! We WILL be booking with her again. Highly recommended!!!
Last week, Holly watched our two Rottweilers for 4 days/nights. We were very nervous leaving them in general, especially with someone we didn't really know. I'm pretty sure they both wish they could go back already! She was very thorough ahead of time on their specific needs and behaviors, and kept us completely updated the whole time she had them with great pictures and videos. She is definitely our go to now for any future travel plans. She is clearly capable of handing any variety of dog as well.
