Pet care experience
I've been caring for dogs in one form or another since I was a young child. I've experience with rambunctious puppies and incontinent senior dogs. I've also experience with house-training puppies and working with high-energy adult dogs still in training. I believe that consistency and love are integral to keeping dogs of all ages happy and healthy. My experiences with my own dog, a very spirited border collie mix, have been proof of concept. Dogs need stimulation and I am happy to play, go on long walks and trips to the dog park to make sure that your dog gets the attention and energy outlet they need!

This is our first time using Rover and Holly has been so wonderful! Not only is she on time and reliable, she is great at communicating and my dog is so happy for his walks! She happily incorporates his training during his walks and checks in with us, asking questions when needed to make sure she is doing everything right. I would highly recommend 🐾

Téo and I love Holly!! She is very communicative and updated me every time she came back from their walks and also sent pictures. She’s very observant to him and his needs. I can tell he enjoys his walks with her and gets excited to see her! I really couldn’t have asked for a better Walker!! 11/10
He gets excited every time he sees her and I take that as a good sign and he always returns tired afterwards. The photos are also always charming.

I prefer to care for pets in the client's home, as my own home is full of cats and a rambunctious dog. I will follow all instructions given by the client regarding needs in the home and will walk the surrounding neighborhood if possible. If the neighborhood is not suitable (heavy traffic, lack of sidewalks) and if permission is given I can take dogs to walking paths in Fredricksburg or dog parks to ensure they have sufficient enrichment.

I need to know of any medications, special needs, behavioral issues, etc beforehand so I can accomodate the dog's needs appropriately. Also if there are other people or pets in the home.
A typical day
Generally I like start by reviewing any tricks the dog knows to get them mentally engaged. I intersperse trick requests into playtime and walks also, pausing to reengage their mind every so often. I love to play and will match the dogs playstyle. I also do not mind slow meandering walks so that dogs can get plenty of sniffs in - though this activity stimulates scent dogs bester than others.

I have open availability during weekdays and weekend mornings. I can begin as early as 7 am and continue until 6 pm. Special accommodation can also be negotiated in needed.
