I have a degree in Animal Training and have worked professionally with animals for over 30 years, from birds (parrots, birds of prey and others), large hoofed stock (camels to pigs to horses and more) and dogs to lead the blind for many years. I'm mature and responsible and able to handle more challenging pets like parrots, reptiles, and farm animals with proper instructions.

I have two dogs at home, one is the easiest, most friendly dog ever. The other one isn't! So I understand that not all dogs are the best candidates to board at someone else's home. There might be rare circumstances where I would agree to have a dog board in my home, but it is unlikely. Other caged pets might be a possibility to board in my home, on a case by case basis.

Please be up-front with any behaviors that your dog may present so that I am not surprised! I am willing to keep dogs on leash or, if you prefer, willing to have them off leash as long as their recall is solid and I feel that the dog and I have a good enough rapport that they will recall for me. I am not willing to handle dogs with people aggression or resource guarding, so please be honest about the positives and negatives about your pet- I appreciate it!
A typical day
I love to hike and be outdoors, so dogs will get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. I am open to suggestions if your dog has a familiar hike that they enjoy or maybe a game of ball if they prefer.

I'm a Mom of a teenager, so I need to be home in the early mornings during the week and have a varying schedule of sporting events, but I am able to be fairly flexible.
