I work three days a week downtown with two remote days per week. My townhome community is dog friendly and has a fenced in dog park/run about a one minute walk from my door. I have experience with senior dogs with multiple medications (including those frustrating eye and ear drops!). I have one very sweet, spunky and senior dog, Celine Dion, and loves other dogs (and especially new humans). She’s getting a little slower in her older age but has a young and playful spirit. Since I do a lot of travel, another dog isn’t reasonable, so pet-sitting is the perfect compromise - help keep my dog engaged AND I can snuggle and love your dog when you need pet care. I’ve had (and have!) amazing sitters through Rover and I try to return that same love and care - my girl means the world to me just like I’m sure your pup is everything to you. Being away from our dogs can be stressful and emotional so it’s such a comfort to know our babies are happy and safe when we’re gone. That’s the peace of mind I have with my Rover sitter and I want to give the same to you. We take walks a couple times a day and/or go to the dog park for some off-leash time and take frequent breaks outside where I have a tether - my dog loves to be in the sun, so we can often be found looking out on the (fenced) field of cows behind my house. She’s a bit nosy and likes to know what they’re doing ;) There's no carpet in the entire downstairs (where my dog and visiting dogs stay when I’m not home) with an open floor plan and no hazards. I'm home whenever I'm not working at the office save the odd errand here and there (and if I could bring them, I would!). If your pupper has any issues with food aggression or defensiveness, I can manage them as I have plenty of rooms with doors to separate dogs so they can eat in peace. I can also accommodate schedules, routines, basic medications (or those you can teach me if you’re comfortable), photos throughout their visit and provide ample pets, cuddles, play, and - when desired - naps :) I don't mind pets on the furniture unless you want me to enforce rules you have about it at your home. Your dog is welcome to sleep with me if that's what they want, though if you'd prefer they sleep in a crate, downstairs, in another bedroom, etc., I'm happy accommodate. Whatever makes your dog comfortable while you’re away! It's a very casual and laid back house. Drop off/pick up during non-holiday weekdays usually needs to be completed by 7:45am or after 5:30pm unless it’s a day I work from home - whenever I can be flexible, I absolutely am. Weekend and evening drop offs and pick ups are flexible. Unfortunately, I can't take any dogs in heat and all dogs must be spayed or neutered as well as up to date on all vaccines.
