I’ve studied dog behavior and cared for my own two with an attentive focus on meeting their needs to build a bond. I bring calm energy and heightened observation to pick up on cues like hunger, boredom, apprehension, and curiosity. My goal is to use all information provided by the owner to be an effective caretaker. I enjoy dogs in every sense of the word, and hope to build a bond they can rely on when being around me. I am reliable and a prompt responder in owner communications.

My current pets are indoor cats. Both of my dogs lived into their teens but have crossed the rainbow bridge. I have a daily play and engagement routine, a feeding routine, and allow them the space they need to explore or just snooze. When I supervise other pets, I follow the routines defined by the owner and attempt to meet 100% of all pet needs.

I am familiar with reactive dog personalities as well as those that have anxious attachment and respond to their needs accordingly, based on research I’ve done online and at the library. My ultimate goal while supervising is to keep the pets’ environment as similar to their home base as I can.
A typical day
When I had dogs, our favorite thing was going to the dog park to socialize and run free or take long walks along the river. I currently own cats and we have pen light and string toy time for 20-30 minutes twice a day depending on their mood and motivation. I also rotate fun toys for them every month so they have challenges on their own.

I am currently available a good percentage of the week as I am typically substitute teaching as a main source of income. During the school year, I am available most weekends (Fri- Sun).
