All Dog Lives Matter!

Pet care experience

I like to being a dog sitter because I love meeting new dogs, and playing inside and out with them. Seeing dogs happy fills me with much joy. Although I have no professional dog care experience, I have owned dogs my entire life, and have cared for pets of both my friends and family. I think I am an excellent choice because I put my dogs needs ahead of even my own! For example, I will make sure my dogs have a fresh bowl of water when returning from a walk before I grab a cold bottle from the refrigerator for myself. If your dogs have an established routine, I would prefer to follow that in order to lessen their stress as much as possible. The routine at our house is to go for a 20-30 minute walk first thing in the morning, and then come home for a breakfast of kibble mixed with a small amount of soft food. I let them out several times throughout the day, and then at 5:00pm, they get a supper, and an evening walk before settling in for the night. There are several parks in my area that I would take the dogs walking through. There is also a dog park nearby that my dogs visit frequently. However, you have to pay an annual fee and submit current vet records to the parks department in order to be allowed in. I love playing with dogs indoors or outdoors. We play fetch, tug of war, keep away, and sometimes we just lay on the couch and snuggle. I work 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday from my home office. I am always available to let the animals in or out as needed and can keep an eye on their activities while here. I will be able to spend all day with the dogs, and make an effort to spend 30 minutes or so directly with them in each morning, and at least one hour each evening. I live with my boyfriend, Don, and he is as much of a dog lover as I am. He also spends time walking with us and playing with the dogs when he is home. He works outside of the house, so he’s not around as much as I would be. Both of our dogs are very friendly and love meeting / playing with other dogs. We hope we can meet your babies soon!

My dachshund was not a perfect guest - for sure - Holly and her husband were caring and seemed to understand that she was a "too sheltered" scaredy cat - I traveled with a lot of communication and did not worry - her 2 dogs are lovely - my little lovable neurotic was treated well - we will be back - hopefully to get her more accustomed to new experiences.

Holly makes being away from my Clementine just a little bit easier! She sends lots of pics and makes me feel like my fur baby is in such good hands and having SO much fun. We love Holly and the care she provides!
