I do not have any breed preferences. I am however short and petite so I wouldn't feel 100% capable of giving the largest breeds of dogs the care they need (i.e. walks would be difficult because they might pull the leash away with their strength). Before I watch a dog I would like to know if they are scared or aggressive toward other people, dogs or animals. I'd like to know all of their favorite things to do. Do they like to play with a certain toy inside the house? What kind of treats do they like? ect. I'd like to know what would make them the most comfortable and happy during my stay. Each dog is different.

While I am watching a dog I would like to take them on walks around the neighborhood or, with the pet parents permission, I'll take them to a near by park in my vehicle. I'll let them sniff and go at their own pace for a while and then give them exercise by jogging with them. I'll watch the dog closely while we are on a walk and make sure its showing all of the signs that it is having a great time. With my experience with dogs I can tell if they are happy or if they are not. Some dogs will like going at a faster pace while others won't enjoy that. I'll adjust my walk to each individual dog.
