20 Acres to Run + ALWAYS Home
Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Hollie! I live in West Longmont, just South of Lyons with my boyfriend Zach and our two rescues, Chaco and Koda. We live on 20 acres with a river running through, making our place a dogs' paradise! Zach works from home, so your dog will never be alone. We have watched puppies who were not yet housebroken to elder dogs who needed oral and injected medications. Our dogs do well with all dogs, but we do prefer dogs who can handle two playful dogs, and getting dirty from time to time (we hose our dogs off almost daily because they are always getting into something. . . life on a farm!) I work in Boulder during the week, and my boyfriend, Zach, works from home as a studio ceramicist/full-time dog dad. Our dogs (and yours) have his supervision + plenty of fenced in land to run around during the day. Bike rides, trail runs, hikes, long walks in the woods and around the property, and playing soccer in the field are part of our weekly routines and we are more than happy to accommodate for the exercise needs of your fur babe. Koda is our water-loving dog, so we got her a small kiddy pool that is always full and kept clean. Chaco is not too keen on the water, so Koda would love a water play mate! Our doggy door is always open; we cannot wait to meet you!
Reviews
Hollie was so great to work with and our fur baby had a great time playing with her pups. She was very accommodating in helping us out on our wedding day in Lyons so that we didn’t have to worry her care. She was willing to pick Lily up from the venue after our ceremony so that she could be a part of our special day and brought her back at the end of the night. Highly recommended!
Hollie was super accommodating and easy to work with. Our pup had a great stay and made quick friends with Chaco and Koda. Zach and Hollie were great hosts - we will be booking again with them in the future!
Happy to have Koa with such a great host! She was diligent and her dogs were great with Koa. Thank you!
Our dog had a blast at Hollie and Zach's place! They are super responsive and patient. Hollie made sure I understand the property situation and asked about my preferences and Zach did a great job taking care of my pup. Their dogs are playful and the yard is perfect for dogs to run around. Will definitely book again when we are back in the area!

We live in a 400sf studio, which is why our door is always open to the property. Our dogs spend all day outside and so do we. We have a smaller yard immediately off the house, with an open gate to a larger (~5 acre) field, with full-access all day/evening. The entire property is ~20acres, and most of the fields are fenced in. There is a barbed wire fence on the South side of the property line that runs alongside the river. All walks around the property and to the river are supervised, so your dog would never wander down there alone. We go for several bike rides around the property each day, and would prefer to have dogs who have off-leash training as to not disrupt our dogs' daily routine. We are always working on recall with our dogs off-leash, and are happy to extend the same training to yours as well. We do not allow dogs on our furniture or bed due to the tick season, but we do have a giant day bed outside that our dogs have completely taken over, and yours is welcome to it as well. That being said, we do tick checks daily, but would recommend that your dog(s) have tick medication due to where we live. Your dog will never -- I mean never -- be left alone when with us. Since adopting our dogs, we've also adopted a new life motto "If our dogs can't come, neither can we."

Information Hollie C. would like to know about your pet
Is there anything that makes your dog(s) nervous? Where do they like to sleep? Do they have separation anxiety, and to what extent? Do they have boundaries with human food (will they go after our food)? Are they food/toy aggressive? Do they have off-leash recall or will they need to be walked around the property on leash? How do you communicate with your dog(s)? i.e. what commands should we know for sit, stay, out, down, etc.
A typical day
We wake up around 6am and go for an off-leash bike ride around the property, playing ball in the field to get out any extra energy. I leave for work around 7:30; Zach begins work in the pottery studio! The dogs have free range of the 5acres, and are given multiple walks/bike rides and river swims during the day. They lounge in the kiddie pool and under the apple trees, which provide ample shade. I rejoin the pack after work around 4:30pm, and we go for another bike ride and river swim. Our evenings are pretty low-key; we play soccer in the field with the dogs and go for sunset walks around the farm.

Availability
I work full-time in Boulder, but my boyfriend owns his own pottery business and works from home, so our dogs are never alone. On weekend, we're at home on the farm. If we go somewhere, our dogs come with. Truly, we never leave them behind.
