TO START: First off let me say that having been a past pet owner, I understand the special and deep bond that you have to your pet, and he/she to you. Your peace of mind on your travels is of utmost importance to me! Therefore, I prefer to meet in person at least a day in advance - so your furry friend can see us interacting and get used to me, to get any questions answered and help all of us relax into the sit. As a Body Language Coach, I am highly sensitive to reading the body language of your pets - knowing and honoring the time it can take to warm up to new energy. Also, being a past Event/Catering Manager, I find being organized up front allows for a peaceful and joyful experience as a house/pet sitter for all. Oh, did I mention pictures and communication are important to me? Of course, I will follow your desires for how much or how little you need. I am an athletic soul and love to be around animals. I am confident in my skills and abilities to take care of your furry friend, even if the unexpected happens while you are away. I am professional, dedicated, hard-working, reliable - and of course super loving and caring. I am just starting out on this site, so am still building my references here. I always had dogs and some cats growing up; and have helped take care of friends' pets/homes as well as strangers through NextDoor & Rover when time allowed as a single mom these past years. WHERE I AM IN MY LIFE: I have just relocated to Nashville as of Feb 2019. Putting down roots and looking to build my community - both human and fuzzy! Why I want to House/Pet Sit I have been an avid Airbnb Host and Uber/Lyft driver for 2+ years and have so enjoyed the shared economy that I figured I would give this a go! I have done a little bit of house/dog sitting since my divorce - as my schedule allowed. As I am yet another aspiring Entrepreneur (a People Mover Start-up if you will, called MovementMedicine.love), and a retired daily mother who has LOVED "keeping my home" - it seems only natural to offer my skills and passion for home management/safety to a larger community as I travel the States and eventually the world. On the pet side, I MISS the warmth, love and attention of a family dog - and being around animals with all they have to offer. However, the demands of Silicon Valley and being a single mother just didn't provide for this. I love the idea of having a new friend(s) in whichever city I live that will care for me as I care for her/him! Also, as a traveler, I am more keen on experiencing the Soul of a place vs. just the sites. I want to get to know a place as if I lived there. Get to know neighborhoods, and what makes a city tick. House/Pet sitting fits the bill of how I like to travel. What an exciting time we live in! My experience * Grew up with Dogs and some cats - and had dogs in my 20s/30s * NextDoor - used this as a place to find a few house/pet sitting jobs before the apps * Rover - just started this one over Thanksgiving 2018 * Have occasionally​ pet/house sit for friends and neighbors (see references) * Former Home Executive: Kept my own home for a former husband and currently 2 boys (messier than dogs and guests!) for almost 17 years, running it much like one of my events AND with so much love and home*iness infused. * Airbnb Superhost for several different locations totaling 3+ years - guest always commented on how Homey, Safe& Enjoyable my homes are. I know that has to do with just who I am more than any location​. * Event manager - so you know I am organized (geekily so!) and can pull off the needs of a house/pet sitting job * Been a stay-at-home mom of 2 boys...enough said right? :-)
