From vet assistant to pet sitter
Pet care experience
I grew up around animals of all sorts: from horses to turtles to birds and everything in between. I have helped train my two dogs, one from a young age and another rescued at around a year old with no known prior human contact or training. I also worked as a veterinarian assistant giving baths, calming dogs during grooming, and working with animals receiving medical care. The staff there even referred to me as "the dog whisperer" due to my ability to comfort anxious dogs during the grooming process. However, I transitioned to pet sitting when I noticed a real need for sitters while working at the veterinarians office.

Holden did a great job caring for my cats (and plants!). He was on time, attentive, and sweet. He made sure every thing was done on the check list and spent some time with my cats as well. I would definitely use Holden again.
Holden was so great with my pets. I have an older dog and he was very attentive in any special needs she may have so I felt very comfortable leaving him with her! Also sent me a photo of my cat snuggling with him which was so sweet to see! Holden was great and would highly recommend!

I am physically fit and fully capable for active exercise with your pets, whether that be walking, running, or any other activities you may desire. If I am not busy, I am also willing to simply hang out with the animals for a while! I began pet sitting because I saw a need, but I also truly love getting to know the personalities of dogs and cats, and even birds on certain pet sitting jobs! I can also transport your dog(s) to a local dog park as I am quite used to having pets ride along with me. As for the safety of your home and belongings, I am well versed in most alarm systems so you can have peace of mind while away.

I am open and willing to work with any dog as long as they are not aggressive towards me! I do not believe in "aggressive breeds," so please do not have any reservations if your dog falls into that made-up category. I also love any age group of dogs: puppies are exciting and adorable, middle aged dogs are typically a happy medium, and old dogs are sweet and endearing to me.
A typical day
I love taking dogs to dog parks (such as Remy's at Red Mountain) to get their exercise in as well as develop social skills! I can also play catch until the dog is exhausted and then make sure they get their pets and cuddling in. If time allows, I am completely willing to simply sit with your pets for a relatively long period to make sure they get the attention they deserve.

Availability
I am a college student that is home for the summer. I will be working part-time at a nearby restaurant, but should not have shifts longer than 6 hours, so your pets will not be left alone for too many lengthy periods! I am around every day of the week and can respond to any needs at short notice when not I am not working.
