Pet care experience
I've been a cat owner for 20+ years and a doggy aunt for 10+ years and love nothing more than getting to know new animals. It can be stressful for your pets when they are away, and my goal is to provide your furry friends with as stable of an environment as possible while you're gone. I care deeply for animals, and am committed to making sure they feel loved while you're gone. I am available for overnight or check-in stays with cats, and have experience providing medication and special food. I have some experience working with special needs animals. While I have never owned a dog, I have assisted many of my friends as a "dog aunt" by staying overnight or checking in on them as needed. I have some experience providing medications and special food requirements to dogs. I'm looking forward to giving you peace of mind that your animal is safe and cared for while you're away!

Hillary has taken care of my dog (17lb terrier mix) off and on for the last 6 years. My dog is a bit high maintenance, but Hillary did a fantastic job keeping track of all her routines, ensuring she had enough people time, walks and play time. She was able to review and confirm any details that seemed unclear for her and kept me updated when I was out of town with pictures and a text to let me know how it was all going each time. My dog is semi-cat like (not super cuddly), but took to Hillary right away. My dog gets so excited when she comes over now, she really loves her! I would highly recommend Hillary to anyone! She is detail oriented, highly organized and is so so sweet with all animals.
Hillary has always done a wonderful job sitting our kitty, Bennie. She is dependable and trustworthy. Hillary feeds and plays with him, and cleans his litter box daily. She sends us a picture or two every day to reassure us all is good. It is not easy to leave a loved furry family member behind without a bit of worry. However, with Hillary’s help we feel very comfortable relaxing knowing he is in very capable hands. I highly recommend her services.

I always try and focus on treating your furbabies like they are my own. Each pet is unique in their needs - some pets need lots of cuddles, some only require a potty break and are fine on their own - so it helps when owners can provide detailed information so that I can get to know them and how to best help them feel loved and safe while you are away.

Activity level, toy preference, any specific feeding requests, skittishness, sensitivities to perfumes/lotion scents, any medication that needs to be provided and how they typically accept medication.
A typical day
It depends on the pet! Some pets need lots of cuddles/attention/games, and others want to keep their distance and just need a food/water refresh. If they're open to playing, I'd love to play with their favorite toys and get them some exercise. If they're not as open to new people, I'll ensure their food and water are nice and fresh and hang out just in case they decide I'm OK :)

Availability
I work full time during the week, but am available in the morning and after work to stop in. I'm also free during the weekends for drop-in visits and overnight stays!
