Dog loving home w/ fenced in patio
Pet care experience
I have been happily dog sitting for over 6 years, with a range of experience as far as age, breeds, and needs. I live with two other dog lovers that also have experience living with and caring for canine friends. We live in a very dog friendly part of the Mission, with plenty of parks and urban hikes waiting to be (re)explored. Our apartment is cozy with a fenced-in patio where both human and furry friends can relax or play. We are so used to hanging out with and dog sitting our friends dogs that we find ourselves missing the click click of dog paws on the floor or cuddles when they are not here.
Reviews
This is very late, but Hillary was absolutely lovely with my pup Jackson. He stayed with her for three days and she sent photos and responded promptly any time I sent a message her way. This was my first time leaving him with someone other than family and Hillary made sure Jackson and I felt comfortable during his stay. 10/10, Would Recommend.
Ruby loves her stays with Hillary and Rob. She is excited to arrive and always has a great time via photos that Hillary sends. Responsive and professional every time!
Hillary is our go-to sitter for or dog, Ruby. She is professional, responsive, and sends lots of updates. Ruby is always well taken care of and comes home happy and tired. Always a great experience!
Hillary was great! She communicated with us and Mo seemed very happy and tired when we picked him up! I would 100% recommend her.

Information Hillary R. would like to know about your pet
Is your dog a complete sweetheart that anyone will fall in love with? If so, great! Is your dog a little shy? If so, no problem, we can talk about what helps make them more comfortable with new people and new environments. Does your dog have separation anxiety? No worries, let's talk about how that presents and what good tricks you have for distracting them when away from you or when left alone in general. Any funny habits or quirks? I love to hear them all!
A typical day
A typical weekday: Morning walk around 7/8am Afternoon walk around 12/1pm (if needed) Evening walk (most likely going to a park) around 6pm Before bed shorter walk A typical weekend: The above and more! We like to explore different neighborhoods in SF and whenever possible take dogs out with us. I usually only book two dogs over the same dates when they are coming from the same home, or, if I know for sure they will get along. This means I've kept both dogs in the past, and or, I've personally witnessed your dog will literally get along with any other dog it meets. I have a doggy gate that I use to keep the front door blocked (unless you have a jumper, then it works mostly as a suggestion) and helps keep them out of the kitchen when I'm cooking or cleaning. If you have any special training you'd like me to reinforce while you are away just let me know and I will do my best to accommodate. I'll also send you regular updates and photos. You are welcome to check in whenever you like. Please know, sometimes I don't have my phone on me so if a few hours go by and I haven't replied, don't fear, I will reply before the end of day, my time. I like to think my style fits the dog I am taking care of. Being a pretty active person that likes to walk a lot, I'm always happy to bring a pup along when I can. For the dogs that need to take it easy, shorter more frequent walks are easy enough to plan out. Having a good understanding of the amount and kind of attention your dog likes is always key to a great stay. For me, it is about making both the dog and you comfortable so you don't have to worry while you're away. I'll ask you a lot of questions, including what kind of quirks your dog may have, allergies, dietary restrictions/special treats, etc. The more details you want to give the better. :)
