A safe dog is a happy dog!

Pet care experience

Hello! Thanks so much for taking the time to learn about me. My name is Hillary, I am 42 and am a professional pet sitter, certified in Pet First Aid and CPR by Pet Tech. I've volunteered at two local pet shelters, which I love doing! In all, I have over twelve years of pet sitting experience. I take the utmost pride in my experience, attention to detail and professionalism. Of course, I am an animal lover of all kinds. I've provided care for all types of animals, including horses, Guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, fish, a sugar glider and even an African Sulcan Tortoise! I'm familiar with most breeds of dogs and their specific needs and dispositions. I currently have a seven pound nine year old Pomeranian, Callie. She's the sweetest, cutest, most lovable dog in the world! (Although I might be a bit biased ;-) She's always very friendly & welcoming to our guests and gets along with them famously! I have lived in St. George since 1992 and absolutely love it here! I came to get my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and loved it here so much I decided to call St. George home. While I was married, we had four dogs of our own and fostered two additional dogs and I loved every minute of it ;-) I enjoyed it so much that I started my own pet sitting business here in Southern Utah, Paws Plus Pet Sitters. Not only do I provide care in my home, but I also travel to client's homes to care for their pets and homes, usually two or three times per day, and sometimes stay in their homes for extended periods of time. I've been a professional pet sitter here in St. George for the last three years now. It's my full-time job and I love it! You can be rest assured that if you choose me to care for your pets, they'll be safe, cared for and loved just as they are in your home. While I don't have children of my own, my pets are my furbabies and I will love, care for and protect your pets as if they were my own. I completely understand how stressful it can be to ensure you're choosing the the best sitter possible to entrust two of the most important aspects of your life; your home and your furbabies. When my clients choose me not only am I grateful to be entrusted, I do all I can to make sure you return to a clean home and happy pets! Just read my reviews and you'll get a good preview of the pet sitter I am. :~} I have a very flexible schedule and am willing to work with you with short notice. I understand things come up and also have a flexible cancellation policy. While your pet is in my care, I'll send pictures and/or videos to offer peace of mind in your absence. Keeping their schedules close to what they're accustomed to is vital to minimizing stress. I'll make it a point to ensure this happens. I look forward to the possibility of meeting you and your pet(s) and even more so to caring for your pet(s). I hope to hear from you soon. All my best, Hillary :~} Why I love pet sitting: I've been an animal lover since I was a child. My family always had at least one dog and a cat. As an adult, I grew my pack to five furry kids and loved every moment of caring for, loving, and playing with them. I've been petsitting professionally for years, and now it's my full time job. I own my own petsitting business and absolutely love it! It's my passion and I'm very fortunate to be able to do it. I'm experienced in administering medication, both oral and injections. Please feel free to ask any questions. I try my best to respond within an hour of getting a request. Thanks again for taking the time to learn more about me. I look forward to the possibility of meeting you and your pets and taking care of them in the near future! Warmest regards, Hillary :~} ???????

Hillary took great care of our young puppy! When we met Hillary, we knew our little dog and our home was in good hands. She watched her and our home for an entire week , gave her medication, even supplied additional chewy treats. She made sure she was always safe. Hillary was very professional and learned everything she could about Belle's habits. Hillary sent pictures and messages daily to keep us informed on everything. Our house was kept perfectly clean. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! Thank you Hillary!!!!

Hillary took excellent care of our puppy, and was very inserts wind about his puppy habits. She clearly loves dogs and is dedicated to making their stay comfortable and fun. We would book her again if headed back to Zion!

Hillary was great! She sent us pictures and kept us updated the whole week. She was always quick to respond and our pup seemed as happy as ever when we picked her up.

Hillary was wonderful to my 2 boys and made them feel at home immediately. It is always scary leaving your kids with someone new or that you don't know but she is such an animal lover I felt relieved after our meet and greet. She sent pictures and videos the whole time which made me relaxed as well. We will be definitely using her again and I'm grateful to have found someone I can trust with my kids in a new city. Thanks so much Hillary!

Information Hillary R. would like to know about your pet

I feel it's very important to know as much as possible about your pets before they come and stay in my home. This information is usually exchanged during our complimentary meet & greet. My main goal is not only safety, but also to minimize their stress in your absence and keep their routine as close as possible as it is at home. Keeping your furbabies safe and happy is my main goal! <(^.^)> I'd like to know their general temperment, favorite toys, if they like to be pet and scratched (and any areas to avoid), if they're afraid of anything, and if they have any certain hiding places. I'd also like to know if they enjoy walks, how well they play with other dogs and animals, and what their favorite treats are. It's helpful to know if they have sensitive stomachs or are allergic to anything. Some pets are food motivated while others respond better to attention. In order to care for your pets the best I can, these are all areas of interest to me. During our meet & greet I take extensive notes to familiarize myself with all aspects of your pets. Thanks so much for taking the time to get to know me better. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Hillary :~}

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks: Doors are not opened until collars, harnesses and leashes are safely attached. Safety is my number one priority during your pet's stay. I live in a wonderful area that is very safe. We will be walking in a private grassy area, ensuring all exercise and potty needs are met. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: It depends on you and your dog's preference. If your dog usually sleeps in a crate, that's where you'll find him. If he likes to sleep in your bed with you, my bed (as well as furniture) is a dog-friendly zone! :-) Time I'll spend with your dog I will be with your dog all day. On days that I have a booking, I will not leave my home, unless it is an emergency. Your dog(s) will have my full attention and love! Extra house-sitting services: I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make you happy with my services so you'll choose me for the next time you're away. That's why I also provide house sitting services free of charge when I do in-home visits.
