As a true animal lover and activist, I am eager to help those who need the extra hand. Being a dog owner can be challenging at times with demanding work schedules, long commutes, and travel.. I know all too well as a previous dog owner... (Beso a 10 lb Chihuahua & Vegas a 50 lb Boston Terrier. I have volunteered at Friends of Homeless Animals for years but recently since moving to the city about a year ago, I have not been able to make it out to Aldie, Virginia as much. I really miss the connection. Btw, FOHA is a great organization if you haven't heard of it. They are the largest no-kill shelter in Virginia and one of the largest on the east coast. They are doing really great things for these animals that are often misunderstood, abused or abandoned and repeatedly placed in poor homes and circumstances. It gives these animals a real chance to live peacefully and humanly. (They always need donations and extra love if you know anyone looking to volunteer out west.) I am currently in between jobs right now so I am looking for ways to supplement my income and this naturally feels like a great fit, especially since I can no longer volunteer. I have the time, the energy, the knowledge, trustworthiness and above all, the love and compassion to take on a role of this nature. I welcome all inquiries, your pet is my pet.
