Vet tech turned SAHM with a yard 😊

Pet care experience

Hi there! My name is Hillary, and I’m excited you’re considering my family to care for your fur kid! I have been off Rover for a while, but I'm back and ready to love on your pet! I am a Certified Veterinary Technician with over a decade of experience caring for animals of all types (including work in zoo, aquarium, and wildlife rehab settings). I am currently a stay at home mama, but I miss the animals dearly. That's where your pet comes in! In addition to my adorable baby girl, we also have a playful pup, Merlin, who would love to romp around with your dog. **NOTE: MAX STAY = 6 nights. We cannot board dogs for extended stays (more than 3 nights) unless they have already stayed with us for a weekend and did well in our home.** ABOUT MERLIN: Merlin is a 2 year old, ~48lb pit bull mix. He has short legs, a long body, and a big heart full of love for every dog and person he meets. He would love to have a slumber party with your dog, and share all his favorite toys. We also have a fenced yard that they can run around in together. WHAT I CAN OFFER: -Peace of mind that your pet is being cared for by a person with an extensive animal care background and medical training -I can provide medical treatments as needed/prescribed by your vet: pilling, injections, subcutaneous fluids, wound care, bandage changes -I am experienced and trained in pet CPR -Please take a look at my photos to see some of the space your pet will be staying in. I currently will only board one dog at a time. PETS I CAN CARE FOR IN MY HOME: -Dogs -Rodents (hamster, guinea pig, rat, or similar) -Reptiles & amphibians (snakes, turtles, tortoises, lizards, frogs, salamanders, etc.) -And other exotic pets, too! (hedgehogs, ferrets, chinchillas, etc.) **Contact me to discuss rates for boarding your exotic pet based on their level of care. As long as they have a cage/terrarium/habitat that can be transported to my home, they can be boarded with me** **I cannot board cats at this time** Have any questions? Please reach out to me, I can’t wait to hear from you! If you're new to Rover, use my promo code for a discount at booking: HILLAB87631

Hillary and her family were SO GREAT with our boy Ziggy. I received the best update pictures and they took amazing care of him.

Hillary gave Toby excellent care for 4 nights, including 2 full days spent with him. He was a happy camper on my return. It was reassuring to know she is a vet tech.

Hillary stayed with our cat and dog for a long weekend and she took such great care of our them. Luckily our pets don't have any special needs, but with all of her veterinary experience, she can definitely handle it if yours do! She also cheerfully and quickly handled stupid human requests like, "Uh, could you dig through this drawer of random junk and tell me the numbers on an ID card in there somewhere?" Great communication while we were gone, and we came home to happy, healthy pets -- we couldn't ask for anything more! We'd love to have Hillary petsit for us again.

Hillary is amazing! She stopped in to take care of our golden retriever, took him for a walk, fed him, and sent a cute photo! Kind, responsible, on time— THANK YOU SO MUCH, Hillary!
