Hi! I'm Hilda, and I'm currently studying Animal Science with plans to apply to veterinary school—working with animals (and their people!) is truly my passion. I bring over 6 years of hands-on experience caring for pets in both shelter and clinical settings. I've worked as a veterinary assistant for five years, where I cared for dogs and cats by administering vaccines, assisting in procedures, monitoring health, and discussing care with pet owners. I also have two years of experience at an animal shelter, where I walked dogs, supervised group play, and supported positive behavior training. I completed the Yolo County Animal Behavior Internship, gaining specialized knowledge in dog behavior and training techniques. I’ve also spent the past three years fostering kittens, helping them grow into happy, social pets by following structured feeding, play, and training routines. With my veterinary background, I’m comfortable caring for pets with medical needs or those who need a little extra attention. Another great overnight with my pup! Hilda is awesome. She made sure my pup was well taken care of with walks and playtime, sent tons of pictures and left my house in order and clean. It’s a relief to leave my pup with someone I can trust. Thank you so much!
Hilda was great! She was very responsive and very punctual with our check ins. My cats felt very comfortable and safe with her, and she shared great pictures and updates of the care she took of them. I will absolutely reach out to her again whenever I’m out of town!
