I’m Hilary. I grew up around dogs and rescued two of my own. As a single working dog mom for the past 20 years, I know first-hand how hard it is to leave your pet for an extended period of time. I've used dog walkers and sitters myself and have found that the peace of mind they provide is priceless. There’s nothing better than knowing someone is there to relieve your pet, exercise them, and love them until you return. I was inspired to become a dog walker when my beloved dog Sophie died at the age of 15. I rescued her when she was just one year old, but she really rescued me. She taught me so much about loyalty, compassion, and unconditional love in our 14 years together. I decided to walk dogs and pet sit in her memory. I recently retired from a 25-year career in the music business. Music is still a big part of my life and I love going to concerts in my free time. I'm also an avid spinner and am on my bike for a good hour every day. In addition, I love to cook, hike, watch movies, and listen to NPR and Howard Stern. My Terrier and I live in a two-bedroom apartment in Sherman Oaks. I have a fenced backyard, but it’s made from concrete, so it’s mostly used for hanging out and getting some sun. My neighborhood has plenty of tree-lined sidewalks, which are great for taking dogs out for walks and potty breaks. I also live near the LA River Wash which has a beautiful walking path where lots of joggers and pooches get their exercise.
