Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes, as well as exotic pets like rodents, birds, and lizards, for over 10 years! I have pet-sat and walked small dogs (shitzu & Japanese chin for example) for many years. I myself have owned and cared for large dogs, pit bulls and labs. I also have experience with owning exotic animals like lizards and birds. Currently I have two Guinea pigs - Poppy and Willow. Poppy and Willow are in a large raised cage. Should your pet be uncomfortable with the Guinea pigs, I’m happy to set them up in another room behind a closed door.

Hilary took great care of Whiskey and provided lots of updates and photos throughout her stay. I’ll definitely ask her to look after Whiskey again!
Hilary sent me lots of updates and photos when I was out of town. She handled a last minute medication to administer and I was confident my pup was in good hands.
It was our second time leaving Leo with Hilary and he had the best time! Literally jumped out of my partner’s arms when he dropped him off because he was so happy to be back. We feel so lucky to have such an attentive dog sitter in our neighborhood :)
Hilary is an angel! This was our first time leaving our puppy overnight and we’re so glad we chose Hilary.she sent tons of updates and went above and beyond to make sure our pup had a great stay. Our pup had a bit of an upset tummy overnight and she took amazing care of him. Can’t sing her praises enough!

I have a two bedroom apartment and live on a tree lined street near a park for nice long walks. I can crate dogs if needed. Working from home, your pet won’t be left alone for long. If they are, I have a pet camera I use to keep an eye on things! I live with my Partner, Sean, but I take care of all things pet related - although he does love the animals as well!

Let me know if your pet has any special needs or unique behaviors. I’m comfortable giving medications - I work in human healthcare so happy to provide for dog with medical needs. I’ve administered medications to dogs, chickens, and Guinea pigs. Make sure to let me know of any allergies or dietary needs. I’d also love to know your dogs favorite things to do! We do have one set of steps leading up to our apartment so please let me know of any physical limitations your pet may have. We do allow animals on the furniture, but if you’re working on keeping them off, I’m happy to adjust!
A typical day
I love going on long walks and live close to Prospect Park! We also have a community garden right across the street that we spend a lot of time in - I help take care of the chickens there :) I’m happy to follow your dogs lead and play all day or just chill.
