Holiday in the country for your dog

Going away? Let your dog have a holiday in a home environment in the country! Fully fenced in yard with enough space for dogs to run around and play. Visits to the off-leash for dogs used to that environment. I do not take dogs who have never been to a dog park. Before moving to Canada from the UK, I ran a successful home dog boarding service and now feel the time is right to open up here. I have also managed a dog boarding facility in Ontario and been involved in dog rescue, especially with English Springer Spaniels. I love the working dog breeds and have also had experience with and rescued Border Collies and English Setters and am well aware of how much exercise and mental stimulation these working breeds need. As I no longer work, I am able to give the dogs all of my attention . I offer a home from home environment where dogs live with me and resident English Setter, Nicholas. I have a fenced in yard and also offer play time at the off-leash dog par.

Hilary is an awesome 'dog person'. My very needy senior dog didn't seem to miss me at all. (I was gone two weeks.) We hadn't been apart for more than two days in 13 years (he's 14 1/2 and I was concerned he wouldn't eat or sleep for the first few days but he settled right in. I highly recommend this sitter.

Any behavioural problems, i.e is the dog friendly with other dogs/people? I do not take any dog that has shown any signs of aggression. That is one reason I feel a meet and greet is important. Does the dog suffer from allergies, on any medication. Does the dog suffer from separation anxiety - how long can it be left on its own?
A typical day
We normally go to the off leash dog park in the morning if that is an activity the dogs are used to. By the time we get back, they are tired and ready for some quiet time. Afternoons are spent playing in the yard and house or back to the park.

I no longer work (if you can call caring for dogs not working!) so am around all the time to take care of the needs of my "guests".
