Professional longterm house sitter.

Pet care experience

15 years experience providing drop-in visits for clients and 10 years experience providing overnight/long-term house and pet sitting in the Las Vegas area. Before leaving Las Vegas I had 12 consistent clients and three sitters working underneath me. I have stayed at homes from one night to up to three months, providing full-time house management on top of pet sitting. Familiar with all breeds, temperaments, and happy to help provide training and positive reinforcement for good behaviors. Also can watch cats, horses, birds, reptiles and fish. REGARDING RATES** Please know, I come with 15 years experience and a long list of references. What I have placed as my 'going rates' are negotiable and will vary, depending upon how much additional attention your pet needs, your location, and how many pets you have. (Ex. One beagle who has a doggie door, only needs to be fed twice a day, and walked will have a lower price than four dogs with special needs). However, I have never refused a client because of finances. I pride myself on working with clients to provide the best quality care for your pet, keeping your animal in the comfort of your home, and staying competitive with boarding prices.

We needed a sitter last minute and she totally came through! We came home to sleeping, well fed dogs who acted like we never left. She also kept us updated with photos for peace of mind. 10/10

I met Hilary through a friend of mine who raved about how wonderful she was and she was right! My sitter fell through last minute and I called Hilary to see if she was possibly available. She came over to meet my "kids" and they loved her instantly as did I. My cat can be a little difficult at times but Hilary was wonderful with him and gave him all the attention he demands! My dog is a senior and I was worried about her on my trip away but Hilary eased my mind by keeping me updated and even sending me some photos. Hilary goes above and beyond and I highly recommend her! She is kind, responsible, caring and truly treats my "kids" like her own.

There is a very short list of people I trust with my fur baby and my home. Hilary absolutely tops that list. Her level of professionalism and care for animals is truly spectacular. Hilary is an excellent communicator. I greatly appreciated the ease of scheduling with her and all the photos and videos she sent of my little man while I was away. Something that sets her apart from other sitters is her compassion for the animals under her care. She strives to keep their normal schedules [whether it be food or play time]. She truly goes above and beyond to make owner and pet comfortable.

Information Hilary B. would like to know about your pet

It's helpful for me to know the pet's age, temperament, preferences (likes to sleep inside all day, loves other animals, doesn't get along with people on walks, history of abuse). I ask for clients to provide the daily schedule of a pet, how often you let them out, if they have any quirks (I've had clients with dogs that are afraid of thunder and others who don't like it when you wear baseball caps). It's important for me to know how you provide reinforcement for good behaviors, the behavioral cues you use, any necessary medications, and also if you plan to have anyone on the property while you are away (gardeners, maids, pool guy, your sister/daughter who likes to come by and eat the food in the fridge, etc.). I also request a list of tasks you wish completed while you're gone (ex. watering plants, bringing in the mail, number of walks a day, medications) as well as an emergency contact list, vet number, etc. Please ensure there is a credit card on file at your vet's office before you leave in case of emergencies and that they are aware your house sitter may be bringing them in on your behalf. It's also helpful for me to know the level of communication you'd like with me while you are away. I am happy to send photos, videos, updates of how your pet is doing, and possibly bombard you with questions about their habits (particularly in the beginning). Some clients love this. Others prefer to hear from me once every few days or check in as needed.

A typical day

How I interact with your dog is purely dependent upon your dog's personality. Some breeds and personalities prefer just having the security of knowing a person is in the house, and we can happily cuddle on the couch while I work. Some, like labs and retrievers, would LOVE to play ball ALL DAY. I am happy to provide your pets with the necessary stimulation to keep them satisfied as well as maintain their daily routine.
