Pet care experience
I worked in a kennel and taken care of dogs of every kind; big, small, strong, poorly. I have walked, fed, played with, cleaned up after, and medicated. I’ve owned numerous pets of all kinds throughout the years but my biggest love is my dog Nellie. She has been my best friend since I was 5 years old and she’s been spoiled rotten. I also take pride in the knowledge that I trained her to do many tricks at the age of 10 which she used every week in an attempt to convince me to give her food. However, she is now a senior dog at 13 years old and I’m still able to take the best care of her, even though our walks are much shorter. From my own personal experience of my own animals, caring for friends and families furry friends and professional knowledge from working in a Kennel, I am sure I have all the necessary skills and resources to make your pets feel safe and happy.

Hettie did an amazing job taking care of our boys whilst we were away for a week. We came back to find them both on great form and it was obvious that they had been very well cared for - regular feeds and walkies. Hettie also provided us with regular updates and photos of them whilst we on holiday which was very reassuring. Hettie had lived in the house whilst we were away and it was left in a clean and tidy state. Thanks and we shall certainly be using Rover's service again in the future.
Hettie was great, and you can tell she really likes dogs. I would definitely recommend her to other owners, and nothing was too much trouble - even a late request to stay on for a couple of hours. It was reassuring to have updates and photos from Hettie and I'm sure our dog was happy to be in her own home with such a lovely companion. Happy dog, happy owner.
Hettie took Bertie for a lovely walk and sent lots of updates and photos! It is obvious that she loves dogs and taking care of them and I look forward to booking her again soon.

If dogs were to stay in my home, I have a large, fenced garden which is safe for any dogs to run around in unsupervised if necessary. But they most likely won’t be. If at a pet owners home, I would stick to the guidance left by the owner to provide the best care for their fur babies while also maintaining respect and privacy to their homes.

Let me know if your dog has any medical history that could be present during their walk to make sure I am alert and aware of their needs at all time. I would also require a brief run down of their general behaviour on walks and to know if they have any experience of aggression towards other dogs or in unneutered males possibly some overly affectionate behaviour, if you get my drift ;)
A typical day
I love to go walking in the countryside near me. I could take the dog for a walk around the town and into the park where they can run off lead safely. Or I could take them for a drive to Yearsley woods which is my favourite place to walk my dog with endless routes for the dogs to explore and smell. Another of my favourites would be to take them along the river trail at beningborough farm and finishing off with a lovely cup of coffee or an icecream at the farm shop with the dog snoozing by my feet after an active day.

I’m currently doing my A-level exams but am finished on the 5th June which means I will have a lot of spare time. I am also looking for a job outside of dog sitting but will make sure I have time for all your furry friends needs.
