Pet care experience
I'm a pet owner who's left her darling boy back home to come study here. I have a 6-year-old Golden Retriever named Ranger. I consider animals the purest souls and love caring for them. Coming to my experience with caring for pets, I was in a boarding school when I was 10 and we had 5 pups all of whom I helped bathe, feed, take on hospital visits, etc. I volunteered for years at Blue Cross (street/stray dogs care shelter) in India taking care of sick, injured animals, playing with them and feeding them including puppies. Ranger got diagnosed with cancer 3 years back and I took care of him and nursed him post-surgery. Just a year before coming to the UK, my friends and I rescued a stray dog we named Lily. She was an accident victim and was left to die, we took care of her hospital bills and fostered her for 40 days before a not-for-profit organisation called VOSD finally took her in. I'm also doing this for myself, I miss my Ranger and taking care of other pets will give me the warmth to carry on. Your pet will be safe with me, happy, loved and respected. :)

How I care for a pet is to ensure the pet is well hydrated at all times, food will be given by me as per the pet owner's directions and also medicines if any. Whether the pet is to be leashed/ unleashed, are there any areas on the pet that it dislikes to be touched, any triggers or allergies, etc I usually discuss with the owner. Remaining relevant topics, if any will be discussed with the pet owner.

A typical day
Playing fetch is one of my favourite things to do with dogs, it burns a lot of their energy and keeps them occupied and active. I like to take dogs to nearby parks for walks to get some fresh air and dogs love grass! If it's okay with the owner, I like to walk them around Coventry city centre, get a puppuccino and meet other dogs. Overall, I ensure that a dog in my care is happy, hydrated and well-fed with some exercise or anything else as required by the pet owner.

I'm currently studying which gives me a lot of time to spend with your pet(s), I'm available on all weekends and most weekdays! This is a great way for me to also spend time with animals in a safe, trusted environment.
