Pet care experience
I have a cozy, comfy home with 1 very sweet, 25 lb. spayed female dog. I have a doggy door with a screened-in porch with grass inside so the dogs can access the outside whenever they wish and be in a safe controlled area. I also have a large, fenced in yard. I absolutely love and enjoy dogs. I no longer work in an office so I get to spend lots of time with our furry friends. I welcome all well-behaved, non-aggressive, house-broken, spayed or neutered dogs in my home. Please use flea prevention as well. I am a former volunteer at the South Lake Animal League. I have had three spoiled, well-loved dogs since moving to Florida, two of which are sadly, no longer with me. My dog, Sammy, had diabetes so I administered insulin by injection for approximately one year. Sammy lost his eyesight from the diabetes so I have experience with a blind dog as well.

Helene always provides a safe and friendly atmosphere for our dog, Bogey. She sends photos while we are away in addition to occasional updates. We know Bogey is in good hands when we travel.

I would prefer small or medium dogs and cannot take a dog that's aggressive or not house trained although I understand dogs do have accidents. No Pit Bulls or Pit Bull mixes please. Also, I would like to have a meet and greet, if possible, with each dog to see how he or she gets along with my dog. However, I have had many out-of-state clients lately and it's worked out fine without meeting first.
A typical day
We will get our exercise with walks morning and evening, weather permitting. On the weekend we'll do more fun things together. I also have a large yard that's on a hill for running and playing
