Pet care experience
There has been a dog in my life for as long as I can remember. I would love a chance to look after your dog and give it the love and comfort of my home. As a lifetime dog-lover your furry friend will be treated as a member of the family during his/her stay with my husband and me. There is a dog run at our apartment building that is great for walks and playtime. We both work from home so your dog will have plenty of company! It would be our privilege to look after your dog(s)! I do require a Meet & Greet prior to booking so we can make sure that your pup has the best stay possible. About this sitter: I have grown up with dogs my entire life, I know leaving your dog for a period of time can be stressful so I look to give owners peace of mind by welcoming their pups as members of our family. In addition to being a lifelong dog owner, I have been a Rover sitter since 2013. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover my entire life, there was never a time growing up where we didn't have at least one dog, usually 2. I grew up volunteering with the Connecticut Humane Society. I love learning each dog's personality and giving them the love and attention they deserve. About my yard I do not have a backyard. However there is a generous grassy area around our apartment building and a dog run attached to it. My experience administering medication Yes, as long as it is not new to your pet.

Your pet is treated like a member of our family during their stay. They are allowed on our furniture and bed for cuddles. My dog is very friendly and shares his beds and toys without a problem! We have an extra glow collar for night time walks to keep your fur baby as safe as possible.

Information Helena S. would like to know about your pet
I welcome all types of dogs! I would just like to know about any quirks (e.g. do they have night terrors? Dislike thunder storms?) before spending time with your dog. I also need to know their regular eating and walking schedules to make their transition as smooth as possible. I will be happy to sit for families that have more than one dog, even though my calendar lists 1 spot being open. I am also happy to have dogs from two different families overlap, as long as both owners are comfortable with it. I do require meet & greets for new dogs prior to booking.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks I will take your dog on walks around my neighborhood and to the park located behind my apartment building (which is dog friendly.) Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will sleep in the bedroom. We do have floor pillows that our dogs tend to enjoy. It's not a big deal if they get up on my bed either. Time I'll spend with your dog As much time as possible! My husband and I both work from home so they will not be home alone for long. I will walk them every morning and twice after work, more walks are possible if needed.

I work from home full time so your dog will not be alone for very long. Typically I will walk your dog in the morning, after work (about 5pm) and before bed. While I am at home, I can also offer a lunch time walk though!
