Happy Safe home for your dog/s

Pet care experience

Please only read on if you are looking for an experienced carers who will almost certainly fall in love with your dog - You have been warned. We are a mother and daughter team who have grown up with dogs and have always loved them just a little too much. We share our lives with a kind, patient, flat coated retriever. She is passive, well trained and has a wonderful gentle nature and welcomes new dogs into her home, willingly sharing her bed, her toys and her garden. Our West Putney home is spacious. Our garden is very secure and is plenty big enough to play ball and run around in, often providing the tantalising scent of a visiting fox. We are located a short walk from Barnes Common and a 5 minute car ride to Richmond Park. Either of us will be at home during the day so your dog will never be left without supervision. Please note: You can expect quality over quantity. We prefer not to have more than two guest dogs in the house, we feel it’s calmer for dogs staying in a new environment. Our morning rambles are roughly an hour long (unless shorter is requested). We are out again later for 20 mins and a quick visit just before bedtime. If your dog loves splashing in the brook, then we are surely the right people to spend time with. Puppies will have regular and repetitive treat training (this is a favourite pastime of both of us and the dogs, who benefit greatly from the chopped up nibbles). We are happy to stick to all puppy routines and rules that you are working with. When it comes to 24 hour overnight boarding, drop off and collection times are pretty flexible. However, if you require two full days either side of a sleepover booking then this needs to be accounted for within the booking request. Dog Walking : We offer an initial TRIAL RATE for new bookings to ensure that we are a good match for your requirements. ******Please just ask. Day Boarding. Rates shown are for full days, however we are huge fans of HALF DAY BOARDING (3.5 hours) if it suits you/your dog's needs. Barnes Station is just 5 mins walk. We are able to offer local pick up or drop off at a fee or can arrange to meet at a convenient location. ******Just ask and we will try to accommodate wherever possible. We do recommend that we meet you and your dog before agreeing to sleepovers. This ensures that a safe and happy stay works for everyone. For more sensitive dogs, We strongly recommend that you book in for a half day boarding or even a walk just to give your dog a chance to familiarise itself with us and the new environment. If you have any questions at all, ask away. ———We do hope that we can be there to help make things work for you and your dog/s——— Please take a look at our reviews, they are all genuine and we have 96% repeat booking rate with Rover. We really look forward to hearing from you. HELEN, MIA & SKY

Lovely lady with a gorgeous family. Amber loved her time with them all. I have no hesitations in highly recommending Helen.

Helen took excellent care of Winnie who thoroughly enjoyed herself and has been tired out since from so much walking, attention and play time with her new friend Sky. Thanks!

Helen and her family and their GORGEOUS flat-coated retriever, Sky, treated my ancient Dudley as if he was one of their own, which was a great relief to me whilst I was away on business. I received photos of Dudley being cuddled and cosseted in front of the fire, generally having a lovely time in my absence. No wonder he was reluctant to come home! Helen’s home is spectacular and she clearly loves animals. If she will have him, Dudley will definitely be back.

Helen looked after our nearly 4 month old puppy, Rosie - the first time anyone other than a family member had taken care of her. Helen is an absolute angel - and clearly adores dogs. I have no doubt that Rosie was incredibly well looked after and she came home so happy (and -happily for us - exhausted!) I would trust Helen absolutely to look after any dog. She is a gem.

A typical day

We take varied routes, suffolk Road Park Barnes , Vine Road Park and surround areas Barnes. We enjoy Barnes common and putney common and Beverley Brook. Richmond Park gets a visit once a week. Depending on which dogs are walking, age, needs and recall all play a factor and even the weather. Some routes are drying and less muddy for ball chasers and some days we chose not to go for dip in the water.
