Pet care experience
I’ve grown up with a menagerie of pets including cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, chickens, birds and even goats! I am particularly fond of looking after cats and dogs. Happy to take special requests! I can’t wait to look after your animals in Fernie and the surrounding area.

Helen has taken my dog for several walks now and my dog H has always come back very happy. Helen is confident with big dogs that might not have the best leash manners and she is comfortable dealing with dogs that display occasional leash frustration and handles it exceedingly well. I trust her with my dog completely.
Helen came to house sit for us for a week to look after our two cats and 3 year old dog while we were away on vacation. She was very caring and responsible, walking our energetic pup twice a day and gently teasing our shy cats out of hiding to make friends with them all. We felt very confident in her services and would absolutely ask her to look after them all again. Helen has also walked our dog a few times since and Izzy clearly adores her! I can't recommend her highly enough.

I am unable to look after pets in my home as my roommate is extremely allergic to dogs and particularly cats. However, I am available to house / pet sit for you. Alternatively, I can just take your dog for walks around Fernie. I am open to anything!

It’s always good to know if your pets have separation anxiety and if there are any specific behavioral/ medical problems to look out for & be made aware of. Do they have any favorite treats / games / friends in the area? And are they okay to travel in a vehicle if we go to a lake or somewhere further afield for a walk?
A typical day
If your dog likes to socialize, we will get up and go to the dog park first thing in the morning so they can be off leash. In the afternoon we will go for a longer walk on one of the trails or parks. And in the evening, we will go for a shorter walk locally.

Availability
I work in the evenings so have lots of time during the day to walk your dogs or check in on your cats and other animals. Very flexible schedule with shifts typically never longer than 6hrs (maximum 8hrs occasionally). So, I’ll never be away from your animals for too long.
