Vet Tech turned SAHM

Pet care experience

Hey, friends! 👋🏼 Thanks for stopping by. My name is Heidi, and I would love to be the one to give your babies what I would like to call the "Heidi Experience". 🥳 My clients will get the tender loving care that they would receive from you along with any accommodations you request (within reason, as I am only human! 🙃) Please read the full description before booking. I have curated my guidelines per my professional experience and background and want to make sure we are on the same page. 😎 You are welcome to ask any questions or reach out for clarification! **Housesitting:: Currently I am only accepting new clients where my 7y.o. son can accompany me. A meet and greet must be done prior to booking. Descriptive pet profiles are a must for each pet per booking! Everyone is insured as long as they are listed. Safety first! Because pets are emotional like us, a meet & greet is required so your sweet babies can get used to me and my son, to establish some trust. 🥰 **Boarding:: Only repeat clients until our new fence is installed. So why pick me? My background includes an Associates in Veterinary Technology as my passion for animals began at my first steps. 🥰 My next gig was at a 501c Humane Society, where I did everything from an intake specialist to adoption counselor to kennel attendant. On the side, I fostered special needs kitties and bottle babies--because they need love, too! ❤️ And my 5+ years of experience with shelter/shy pups will come in handy for those babies that take a longer time to adjust. Have special needs? I've got ya covered! Medicines? Check. Special Diets? Double check. Insulin injections? Triple check. Babies not moving like they used to? We all have those days. Separation anxiety? Ask about my constant care rates. Special routine during feeding time? Hand feeding, keeping them company, fast eaters, picky eaters are no problem here 😉 Let me know how your fur baby likes it and I will do my best to accommodate. Now if anything happens during a “Heidi Experience”, my background in CPR, medication and fluid administration, and wound triage will come in handy. 🚑 I'm offering the whole nine yards! I've also had several clients comment how wonderful my photo updates are. "Such wonderful photography" "I feel like I get a photoshoot each time I book" Oh, and just in case you have any of those offbeat, exotic pets 🐓🐴🐷🐮🐰/ 🐭🐹🐦🐢🐍🐠🐟 /🦖🐉 🦁🐯🐻 ask for my rates! 🤩 Seriously, I love them all! For overnight sitting, I'll be their Rover mama from 8PM-8AM (or whatever 12-hour window you’re looking for) as well as a couple extra potty breaks for good measure. Need me to stay longer? Just let me know in your request the timeframes you need, and I will send you an updated quote if I am able to accommodate. I have daily clients I tend to and errands to run, so if constant care is needed, please be explicit! Also, I am happy to bring in any mail or packages, water plants/lawn, and take out the trash on collection day just so your house doesn’t skip a beat! Your home will be respected by me (and my son) and will be left in the same condition as we found it. 🙌🏼 Now, my 7-year-old human baby will need to be my partner-in-crime. He helps me from time to time if that’s cool. 😎 He is just like his mama with experience with smaller--as well as the bigger--pets and the deaf babies. If you want me to swing it solo, just ask, and I will do my best to accommodate*. In addition, it would be cool for the house to be tidy/clutter-free and for me to have reasonable sleeping arrangements. Cameras are all the rage now, so if you have them, I don’t mind! Any in bedrooms or private areas will be covered/unplugged for my privacy and security, however. 🥳 Housesitting rates are for every 24-hours. Arrivals and departures outside of that timeframe will incur an extra fee. I try to provide walks (where applicable and when weather permits) for my Housesittings but if your fur baby must to be walked daily, it will need to be booked as a separate service. Daily/Regular walk service:: I currently have 2 openings for long term booking. I can accommodate up to 3 babies from the same household (around 100 lbs. of dogs, give or take). I am from the North so the "Texas cold" doesn't bother me. If the weather is pouring rain or snowing with low visibility, I may ask to switch a walk to a drop-in or cancel visit if a potty break isn't needed. You will see that I provide an amazing experience and my past clients have not been disappointed! Check out my reviews, then book with me! Thanks for looking.

Heidi took such great care of our 2 kitties! It was our first time gone for a week since we got our cats a year ago. Heidi provided great updates and pictures of her visits, so I could feel less guilty about leaving them. She is professional and I would recommend to anyone in need of a pet sitter! 😊

Heidi and her son Rodney stayed at our house for 3 days during the recent freezing weather while we were traveling. Not only did I feel secure knowing the pups were in good hands, but she also cared to ensure our house was ready for the winter weather. The pups were happy little campers when we got home and we're so thankful for Heidi and Rodney for loving on our babies while we were gone.

Information Heidi S. would like to know about your pet

I require all clients to have Rabies & Distemper vaccines current, as well as Flea/ Tick/ Heartworm monthly prevention (Boarding). I require boarding pets to be fixed. Any unaltered dogs will be charged my puppy rate upon approval of service. Whenever possible, I would like to meet and go for a routine walk to familiarize myself with your furry friends schedule and route. Meet and Greets usually take 15-20 minutes. I want the experience to be as stress-free as possible for them. Keys dropoff/pickup may require a fee if outside service request timeframe.

A typical day

While pet sitting at my residence, we have access to a fenced yard, as well as a nice, low traffic neighborhood for walks. I have an active 5-year old son who LOVES going for walks. While boarding, dogs receive a 30-minute walk in the early morning before it gets too hot, 1 hour walk in the evening after it cools down (weather permitting), and multiple potty breaks throughout the day. Unless specifically requested, boarding pets do not leave my home except for walks.

Depending on my other duties during the timeframe, I will be in and out throughout the day for potty breaks and such as often as needed. For constant care clients, I will need to have my sidekick with 👩‍👦. We can discuss your fur babies regular day-to-day routine and try to match as closely as possible to make the staycation fun!
