Heidi Schad loves dogs! She has been a dog parent since she was 16 years old and have owned many types of pets over the years. She was a vet tech early in her career, before settling into the field of education. She has shared her love for dogs by fostering and finding forever homes for many dogs with the Prince George’s County SPCA. All of these experiences make Heidi a very knowledgable and experienced dog handler. She has cared for my dogs. She is very attuned to the personalities and needs of animals and adjusts her approach accordingly. Your pet will be in very good hands with Heidi Scad. I highly recommend her.

I have know Heidi for 25 years. She has alway been a care giver and activist for animals. She has fostered and rehabilitate more then 21 dog durning her time with SPCA. Heidi has recently spent the last 3 month caring for 2 12 year old gray hounds and a 10 year old stander poodle. Cooking for them and allowing then to sleep with her. While the owner was in the hospital. Heidi even took a day off work to comfort Gacey(one of the greyhound) while she was dying of natural causes. Then she took the next day off to make sure Liz(the other gray hound)would not be alone as to comfort her. I can say with know reservation that Heidi can handle any type of dog. I also know any dog or cat in Heidi’s care will be treated the utmost care, respect and compassion.
