Pet care experience
I've been an animal lover my whole life, and that love just seems to keep growing the older I get. I've had a variety of resident pets over the years, including hamsters, birds, chinchillas, cats and dogs. I've been fostering through an animal rescue for 8 years and have cared for up to 20 animals at once, in my home. I started whelping a year and a half ago so I have extensive experience with dogs of all ages, newborn to senior. I am comfortable with all animals and look forward to meeting your beloved family member(s)!

Heidi did a wonderful job of caring for our 2 cats! Our senior cat does not always eat well and Heidi made sure she ate all her food. I will definitely be booking her again!
Treated my dogs like they were her own. So easy to work with, reassured me during their stay with texts and pictures. Would highly recommend.
Gus was worn out LOL. He loved to be able to play rough with a group of dogs. Heidi was wonderful to work with. We were laughing as a family after we got home with them.... Gus was exhausted and went straight to bed, Loki was as well and wanted to eat and sleep. Great experience for us all.
Heidi is wonderful with my boys - who are a lot! They are big and have a ton of energy, but Heidi welcomes them graciously.

I have a farm with a large fenced in yard and 2 very friendly dogs that can keep yours company. I also have a chihuahua who absolutely loves people, but takes a little bit to warm up to a new furry face. I also have 2 super laid back cats who will observe from a distance. I have a dedicated puppy room that your dog can stay in; I can also crate them if needed or more comfortable for them or can let them hang with the family as much as they'd like to. We do let our animals on furniture but will adhere to any "rules" you have in place for your pet. We've had many animals come through our home on a temporary basis and do whatever we can to ensure they feel safe and comfortable.

I like to know about any quirks or triggers that make your pet unique so that I can give the best care possible. The animals experience and comfort are my top priority.
A typical day
I like to keep your dogs usual routine as much as I can, so written instructions are helpful. First and foremost I want to make sure your pet is comfortable with me and their new, temporary surroundings. I do slow introductions with my resident animals and have various set ups available to ensure everyone is comfortable.

I currently work part time at an animal sanctuary for special needs cats and dogs. My schedule is flexible on most days and we can work something out on the two days a week I am at work
