Pet care experience
I’ve had all kinds of animals since I was a child, from dogs and cats to rabbits, hamsters and mice. I’m very confident and comfortable handling animals, and am the person at a party who you find cooing over the dog/cat. I have experience looking after my best friends dog when she goes away, and feeding/playing with the cats of a number of other friends and colleagues. Having had a really awful experience with a cat sitter myself, I understand first hand how much trust you put in someone to care for your furry family members. I care for other peoples pets as I would want someone to care for mine, so you can be sure to get daily updates, pictures and videos and that your pet will be cared for well while you are away. I’m a dab hand at cutting claws as well, and have a technique that allows me success with even the most tricky of customers. Similarly, I’m confident and successful in administering medications.

Heidi has recently looked after Mylan for us at our house for a week while we went on holiday and I can honestly say that Mylan couldn’t have been in better hands with Heidi! We were provided with regular updates and pictures and I could tell that Mylan had found a new best friend with Heidi. If you’re thinking about booking with Heidi, then please do as your pet will be looked after very well! We will certainly be booking with Heidi again!
Heidi is a very pleasant and trustworthy pet lover. She has cared for both my dog and cat and ensures that they are safe, happy and well cared for. She has a way with animals and my cat will allow only Heidi to trim his claws without any fuss. I would have no hesitation in recommending her. I trust her implicately.
I cannot recommend Heidi enough!! I am able to enjoy weekends away with my mind at ease, knowing that my animals are in the safest, most caring hands. Heidi listens to any specific request that I have for my animals without judgement to meet their individual needs. You can really see Heidi’s authenticity when it comes to her love for my fury friends, she treats them like they are her own. Thankyou as always for being so wonderful!!

I’m close to a lovely meadow with a river running beside it, and a couple of woodland areas, all perfect for walks. I have 2 chill cats and I’m happy to work from my place or yours, whatever’s preferable for your pets. Happy to use a crate if that’s part of your pets routine, happy to consider most things if it supports your pet while you’re away. If it reassures you, I’m happy for you to use a camera indoors so you can see what I’m doing etc

Information Heidi M. would like to know about your pet
Anything specific to do with their likes and dislikes, how they are with other dogs. I prefer not to let dogs off the lead even if their owners do, purely because I am not familiar to them and they may not return for me in the same way they would for their owner.
A typical day
I’m happy to follow the guidance of the owner around what their pets usual routine is; taking them to their usual places, however often they are used to going. I am also happy to take them further afield if the owner is happy for me to, I have a car and pet seatbelt.

Availability
I work for the NHS and recently went part time; on the days I do work, I can work from home. With this is mind I can be very flexible in regards to how your furries fit into my day to day routine - I can be at home with them or take them to dog friendly cafes, or simply visit them in their home and keep them company.
