Pet care experience
With a veterinarian as a father I grew up caring for dogs that needed extra care throughout the evenings or over holidays that the clinic did not have the extra hours to attend to. Most of these dogs would be puppies, runts of the litter who got sick and required extra attention and medication. Upon recovery they would need socialization and house training so that they were ready to be adopted. This being the case, I have little professional experience but my special skills are puppy care, training, and general care/entertainment.

Heidi. Was. Amazing. We have had some recent sitters leave our dogs for a long time or not check in for various stays. We’ve been struggling to find a great sitter since moving to Greenville. Heidi was wonderfully professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of our space. We are so glad we found her and will definitely be contacting her again. 🥰

Heidi is a very caring and conscientious pet owner. She is very patient and knows that pet training is continuous. She holds her own dogs to high standards with out ignoring that each has different abilities. She is great with puppies, senior dogs and all in between.

I live with four dogs at home and I spend a considerable amount of time with them. Along with playtime at home, trips outside, and walks around the neighborhood, they compete for treats while showing off skills they’ve been training for. Then, after all the excitement, they doze off listening to me read my boring textbooks.

Please, let me know if your dog has any special needs, sensitive spots like post surgery soreness, or medications that need to be administered. I will also need to know what kind of equipment you use to walk your dog (collar/pinch collar/harness) and if your dog has ever gotten off their leash by slipping out of their collar or harness.
A typical day
Walks or jogs outside is a good way for me to provide the dog(s) with an outlet for them to spend their extra energy and enjoy the outdoors. Playing with toys inside is also a good alternative and always fun. I like to encourage good behaviors with treats and belly rubs, and practice their tricks along the way.

Availability
I am currently dual enrolled at Pitt Community College, working my way towards my associates degree. During the Spring semester (ends May 6th), I attend classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from morning to early afternoon. During the Summer semester (starts May 21st), I will attend classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from morning till noon. The rest of my study time is completed online. I also like to volunteer at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina when my schedule permits.
