Pet care experience
I've been caring for my own and others' pets since I was a teenager. I've had pet cats, rats, mice, rabbits, chickens, goldfish, and a dog. Others have entrusted me with their dogs, cats, and rats over the years and I love having additional furry friends to spoil! We have a large grassy field right across the street that serves as an unofficial neighborhood dog park perfect for socializing and playing fetch. Due to our own dog living well into his senior years with multiple health challenges, we are especially adept at caring for the needs of senior dogs, specialized diets, and any dog requiring additional attention or round the clock care. My husband and I intentionally maintain a completely flexible home routine. We are both self employed working from home with our own hours and no shift schedule. Unless we're getting groceries or out on a hike (during which furry companions would definitely be welcome!) we're pretty much always home and any activity can be happily interrupted if your pet needs or wants us for any reason. We have a fully fenced yard with a mostly fenced public access field directly across the street that has become the unofficial neighborhood dog park! With plenty of room for crates and dogs of all sizes, we also welcome velcro dogs to stay by our side at home the entire time so they won't get lonely, in fact loving on them and relishing their company is our favorite part! We cook all our food from scratch so specialized diets requiring cooking are right up our alley. Daily walks are welcome on our quiet, highly dog friendly street. Our only pet is a house rabbit, which will remain crated out of access from your pet for safety.

This was our first time using Rover and Heidi and Lim provided my Newfiepoo with attentive care. He has some special needs and when there were questions they let me know. daily updates were provided so I felt confident he was settling in and content. I feel good about contacting them in the future for pet care!
I have had Lim and Heidi care for my animals as well as witnessed them with their own dog. They are both very animal-centered and act according what is best for the animal. My cats enjoyed spending time with them, even the shy one. I would gladly hire Heidi and Lim again.
Heidi is our adult daughter. She and her husband Lim took over the care of our aging chow/lab mix. I knew they loved Coaly, but I was amazed at how much they sacrificed their own time, effort and money for 3 years to give him a great life in spite of his illnesses and physical problems. He even suffered from anxiety, which they successfully treated with medication and lots of attention. Heidi is trustworthy and works hard to satisfy her customers.

Our computers are set up in the living room, ensuring your dogs never feel alone and can approach us for attention at any time. We also allow access to our kitchen, bathroom, and fully fenced backyard, as well as bedroom access for certain dogs depending on temperament. We'll play with a dog until they get tired and go for walks up to twice daily if that's what they want! We feel strongly about never yelling at or striking any animal. We don't think animals are at fault for misbehavior, so if there is an issue we simply modify our approach and/or the environment as needed to help them adjust to more preferable outcomes. We understand they can feel uprooted without their favorite humans around and are willing to work with them in whatever way they need.

A typical day
We're always down for good ol' fetch, which can go farthest in a large, city maintained public access field directly across the street from our house. Underhill park is just a few blocks away with the Ben Burr Trail easily accessible for dogs who prefer longer walks. We also enjoy Riverside Park with its endless trails! Indoors, we enjoy light roughhousing if your dog initiates it and will happily play tug of war with provided toys. If your dog knows commands we'll try those out, providing plenty of positive reinforcement with affection and treats if provided/permitted.

We LOVE animals and enjoy centering our lives around their needs. Our typical schedule is 100% flexible, with a part time work from home hours we can do at any time of the day and interrupt as needed to give your furry one some love and attention.
