Pet care experience
I grew up in northern Minnesota with 2 Labrador retrievers in my home, as well as several outdoor cats. Daisy is my first puppy on my own, she is a 5 month old Aussiedor and my best friend! I live in a beautiful house off of the trail that connects to Lindley Park, with 2 roommates. My roommate Natalie also has a neutered 4 year old male Boxer Lab mix dog, named Cliff. We are all very active and take the dogs on walks every night to Peet's Hill after dinner!

Heidi was wonderful! Our pup had the best time with her and Daisy. She took them on multiple walks each day and sent us lots of pictures. Peggy was happy and tuckered out when we returned. I highly recommend Heidi!
I have known Heidi for her whole life, and in all that time she has attached herself to one form of an animal or another. She grew up with her dog, a black lab, two cats and numerous chickens. Heidi affection for animals would probably have led her into a life of veterinary medicine if she hadn't been so caught up with studying chemistry. Heidi has even been known to spend the night out in her parents hammock with the dog--sleeping under the stars. Heidi currently has a young dog that she babies and spoils so much, it is treated as if it were her kid--at least that is what her friends and family say. If you are looking for a person to give your canine care and affection, I can't think of a better person to do that than Heidi.

My yard is pretty big, with large trees for shade, as well as plenty of room to run around. We have a patio to sit at, so I can supervise while the puppies are playing outside. There is a small strip of trees in our backyard that blocks the view from the trail, but we live right off the trail to Lindley Park, so it is very convenient to take the pups on long walks to the park and to Peet's Hill. My puppy, Daisy, is very friendly with other dogs and loves to play. My roommate's dog, Cliff, is also very friendly and is like the calmer older brother of the house! I take my puppy on a run every morning before work, play with her in the yard at lunch, and we go on a long walk around Peet's Hill every evening after supper!

I am most comfortable caring for larger breeds, as I just find I know how to communicate with them easier.
A typical day
I walk my dog through Lindley Park and Peet's Hill most days, but I also like to do hikes nearby! My favorite place to hike with Daisy is to Lava Lake because she and I can go swimming when we reach the top of the trail!

Availability
I am currently in lab at MSU Monday-Friday 8a-5pm full time. I live very close to the lab, so I come home for lunch everyday to play with the puppies for an hour or so. I am home on evenings and weekends.
