From early childhood through college I always had a dog. Our dogs were an important part of our family growing up. We also had rabbits, fish and a pet cow. I do not presently have any pets, but for a number of friends and colleagues I am their go-to person for dog/cat/house sitting. I find the task very enjoyable and love to get to spend time with animals; dogs and cats alike. I am very passionate about animal rights and pretty much get my heart melted on a regular basis by how sweet and personality-filled all animals are. I love all critters, but dogs are my favorite. I feel very comfortable around dogs and understand the wide range of personalities, needs and quirks that many dogs have. I approach every animal I'm meeting for the first time in a tender manner and know that bonding doesn't always happen instantaneously, but I have yet to meet a dog on multiple occasions that didn't soon become my best friend!
