Ready to care for your pooch!!

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Heidi. I’ve owned dogs my whole life, having been raised with large and small dogs as pets along with cats. My years of shelter volunteering experience has allowed me to care and interact with a wide range of dogs with various temperaments and energy levels. I’m well versed in dog body language and have cared for dogs with hearing disabilities, puppies, seniors, and small and large boisterous dogs with high energy. I love all breeds equally, enjoy running and biking with my own dog and wouldn’t mind running with yours if your furry friend needed it.

Heidi is friend that has helped immensely with my 3 year old pit bull mix Chico. He’s a 80lb dog loves pulling, making it hard to walk him, but Heidi takes him on his hour walks with no problem. She’s been really helpful and patient with Chico.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for other pets I’ll make it a priority to understand each specific dogs individual needs and ask a client for instructions. I’ll feed a pet at a given time and take them for a potty break after. I’ll exercise/walk a dog before feeding or at least 60 minutes after. I find it more efficient to adhere to a clients usual habits regarding the care of their pet. It’s important for me to make the best of the time I have with your pet and allow them to relieve some pent up energy.

Information Heidi A. would like to know about your pet

I’d appreciate knowing the things your pets are reactive or afraid of, whether that be other dogs, bikes, cars, etc., in order to minimize stress during a walk, I also like knowing their special needs. I have no problem walking highly reactive dogs and it would be helpful if told in advance about certain triggers and such. If your dog is food aggressive or a flight risk please let me know. Any information about your furry friend is appreciated!

A typical day

One of many things I like doing is mentally stimulating the dogs I watch, whether it be by asking for easy commands they know during feeding time, or smelling new areas. I like running with higher energy dogs and going to nearby parks and pet friendly places for them to explore.
