We love Fur Babies!
Pet care experience
We are seasoned petsitters and I previously worked at a doggie daycare for a bit of time. I have owned dogs my whole life and we currently have two dogs and a cat. I have no problem helping with a pet that has medical needs, please just let me know what allergies or medications they have ahead of time. I live in Okolona and have a large fenced yard that is 1/2 acre in which your dog(s) would love to play. Your pup will have lots of playtime and socialization here! If we experience bad weather, then playtime is in the house no problem! I treat the animals that come into my home as my own. We allow our furry guests to sleep with us on the bed at night along with our own. Your pooch will love all the attention it receives from us! Please check out my reviews and repeat clients. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Also, if you book with me, you can book with confidence in knowing that I offer a FULL refund should your plans change. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby soon. I do not work outside the home. I offer pet care on a full-time basis. I also offer flexible drop-off and pick-up hours. You can drop-off/pick-up as early or late as needed. Last minute changes are often fine with us, we are pretty flexible. The only day that I am out for a bit is on Saturdays for church. What to expect on your first visit: Typically we allow new dogs to run around the house while ours are in the bedroom with the baby gate up. This allows any new dogs to be able to get used to and know their environment. They will go outside by themselves to check that out as well. Usually, after new dogs check out their environment they sniff our dogs through the baby gate. If they seem like they will get along, then we let one dog out at a time. This helps keep the energy down so no chaos. Once our first dog gets acquainted and all is well then our other dog comes out. If we are not home, our dogs are kept separate from the new dog depending on how they all get along. I can do a crate but typically we just have the dogs in separate rooms no crate unless needed. I let all dogs out to go potty about every 2-4hrs during the day, typically a few times through the night as well. We do have a cat, she keeps to herself. She likes being outdoors and having her space. If your dog doesn't do well with cats (which we have had dogs here that didn't) we just need to know ahead of time. She likes being outside so she will be ok and that won't be an issue for us. Our puppies eat once a day (their choice) but we do double the food so if they decide to eat later on they can. I know everyone's pets are different so we can accommodate different eating schedules. We have flea collars on all but one dog who has some skin allergies, so we use a pet friendly spray for him. All of our pets are spayed and neutered. If your dog isn't potty trained, let me know. I can work with him/her while they are here. I do the praise method; giving treats when they go outside. Usually having them go out more often to prevent accidents in the home. My golden retriever is a senior (15), our other pup is 11yrs old as well so if your dog is older that is fine. We get lots of puppies so we are accustomed to the chewing and potty training quite a bit! Thank you for looking at our page and we look forward to caring for your fur baby! *Please feel free to bring your pups food as a change in their diet may cause diarrhea. I do have food if you forget. Also if your pup has a favorite blanket or pillow feel free to bring that as well.
Reviews
my dog was very happy with heather during his day and she took great care of him and gave me updates every day. I will definitely be using her again in the future!
Heather was amazing! This was my first time using rover and was extremely nervous to leave my fur baby with someone. She eased all my concerns & worries! She sent multiple pictures every day my pup was with her & I couldnt be more grateful for her keeping my baby safe & feeling loved. We will definitely use Heather again when we go on trips!
Heather gave updates and sent pictures everyday. Thanks for taking such good care of Zoey!

We have a fenced in yard so the dogs have lots of room to run and play. We have balls and doggie bones for them to chew on as well. Our dogs have beds to cuddle on or blankets as well. I do make sure that every dog has a space to cuddle. Food and water is always provided; ours eats when they want to but if a dog needs supervised feeding on a schedule then I can accommodate that as well. I don't mind doggies playing but I don't allow humping behavior and will separate dogs if that begins. I do watch the dogs to ensure that any play stays safe and when I feel it may be getting too heated, I will separate for a bit to get everyone to calm down or redirect them. We make sure there are no hazardous materials for the dogs to get into. I do check the yard to see if there's anything there as well. If your dog is struggling with being separated, we will let him on the bed or couch to cuddle and sleep to comfort him. Unless you prefer him to not do so. If you don't want her dog to be on couch or bed just let me know, we will make sure that he/she won't. Just let me know what your training preference it and we can accommodate that. I don't mind sitting on the floor if your fur baby is needing some extra cuddles.

Information Heather W. would like to know about your pet
It is important for you to let me know their allergies, temperament, and just overall personality. Even if your pet doesn't like being around other dogs, we do have a baby gate to keep them all separate but we just need to know in advance to plan for that. Any medications, feeding, and potty schedules. Our dogs go to the back door to let me know they need to go potty so if your dog has any similar training that would be helpful.
A typical day
We go for walks, play in the backyard and play fetch. Our mix, he loves to jump up to grab sticks. Our golden is laid back and more chill but he enjoys walks while our mix is more energetic. We typically walk around the neighborhood but we do go to nearby parks as well. We have a large fenced-in backyard so when it isn't too hot, humid, or cold, we are out there with our dogs. Our dogs do not stay outside for long periods of time unless it is a beautiful day with cooler temps but we are home as well to monitor that. So if we leave, they would stay indoors. When I am doing yard work typically the dogs are outside with me depending on the weather.

Availability
I am home all day so typically pups just play in or outside during this time. When we do leave usually our dogs just stay in the bedroom or chill on the couch when we are out. We take each dog potty before we leave and as soon as we get back. The only day that I am out for a long period is Saturdays for church. Depending on your pup's needs to can either let them stay out with out pups or be in a crate. I do have a larger room for pups to be in if they don't need to be in a crate but have too much anxiety to be left in the main house. We just try to do what is best for each dog since they are all different. Our goal is to provide a stress free environment where they can feel safe.
