Pet care experience
I have had dogs since I was little. My animals are part of my family and go with me on errands and travel with me. Additionally, I have sat for my friends, family and coworkers animals to include dogs, Guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, etc. A common thread I hear often is that certain animals are "difficult". In translation to me, it just means they need extra love and care. I don't blame animals for behavior's such as potty training issues, yappiness, or digging. It just means they need certain activities to help with those challenges such as additional pee breaks, attention or exercising them more than normal breeds.
Reviews
Heather was very easy to work with. She agreed to care for my dog with short notice and I’m very thankful for that. She updated me daily about my dog, and I feel confident leaving my dog with her.
Gizzie was so happy with Heather and her family! He looooved Dakota and I think misses him! Great with updates and photos!
Thank you so much!
Heather was a pure delight when looked after my pupper Max. She was very professional when I met her and she was sorely missed when she left!

Really depends on what clients would like. If their pets are guest in our home, we treat them as family and include them in our routines which includes our walks, snuggles on the couch during movie time and ability to sleep on our bed at night, dog bed or rug. Crates are used upon clients request, or are used as disciplinary safe spaces for the animals. When watching pets in a clients home, whatever the client hopes from that interaction will be followed.

Information Heather W. would like to know about your pet
Has your pet interacted with other animals? Have they interacted with kids? Do you leave them alone, or keep them by your side all day? Is there certain area's of concern with breathing, poo, rashes, or medications that I should be aware of? Do they have special dietary needs/restrictions? Is there a special routine they are most comfortable with following?
A typical day
In-door fetch, sun-bathing on the deck, people watching in the yard/driveway, walks around the pond, walks through the trails, refresher of basic commands for treats (sit, down, head down, paw, wait).

I am normally up early and we do a family walk before we start the day. Our resident host (Dakota our husky) requires at least a mile long walk as his wake up routine. I work from home and tend to take a lunch time break to get in a loop around our pond which is a nice 20-30 minute walk. I end my day around 3pm and that is also the time I feed and walk my husky again. On the weekends, we tend to do outdoor activities such as parks, farmers markets, exploring walking trails or we just hang out in the yard while we work on garage projects (with our pets outside with us on a leash).
