I grew up with two cats, one small dog and am the proud owner of a 61 pound golden retriever named Honey. We provide a loving and warm environment (dog is king!) with no shortage of treats (as permitted), cuddles, and comfy couches to snooze on and warm beds to rest their heads after a long day of playing (with me and Honey). We have a crate for dogs that prefer their space in a crate. I have cared for large dogs and small dogs. We understand that ALL dogs have different needs and aim to provide the most comfortable environment for all types of dogs

Our 2 y/o dog loves Heather and Honey! Heather creates a home away from home for Lemon, takes him on fun walks all day and he gets all his energy out romping with Honey. I get lots of pictures and videos throughout. We will continue daycare and boarding with them.
Heather is a fantastic sitter for our dog Penny. We always feel very comfortable, leaving Penny in her hands, and her dog Honey is a very welcoming and warm pup which is a huge plus! Heather has dog-sat for us on many occasions and Penny always comes back super happy and well taken care of. I love that she takes our dog to outdoor parks, so she gets plenty of exercise and play time. I highly recommend Heather! We trust her greatly with our fur baby.
Heather is THE person I trust with my dog. And he clearly feels the same, because he spends every day walking us straight to her front door. Heather is a dream dog carer and she loves all dogs like her own! He always comes back home happy from Heather's and I couldn't imagine sending him anywhere else.
Heather was amazing! Our goldendoodle had such a great overnight stay with Heather. It’s clear that Heather treated him like he were her own. He is usually so excited to be picked up, but he was almost a little hesitant to leave Heather and her pup! We can’t wait to have him stay with her again - thanks for being such a great host, Heather!

We live in a 3 story townhouse with plenty of space for your pup to relax or play with my friendly pup Honey. For safety, we do not allow dogs off leash in the common areas but there is plenty of green space and grass for your dog to enjoy morning afternoon and evening leashed walks. We follow instructions for any medications or supplements needed and will provide a loving and structured environment for any dog to thrive. Safety first!: For extended stays, we will check with you about preferences for your dogs exercise (off-leash hikes (fenced) or dog parks, etc). Otherwise, we will always prioritize safety by keeping your pet on leash at all times when enjoying the outdoors.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs, treat restrictions, feeding needs, habits to look out for (eg: loves fetch, heavy chewer) and what would make your dog the most comfortable and relaxed. We are an easy going household. I am happy to work with dogs on their sit, stay, down commands to create structure and consistency. We aim for our home to be their happiest staycation.
A typical day
We love hiking in Redwood Regional Park, swimming at Buchanan Dog Beach, Ohlone Dog Park, and long walks at Point Isabel! Honey spends much of her day playing with the neighborhood dogs or under my feet while I work. But our lunches and afternoons are usually spent outdoors!

Availability
I work from Home so I make plenty of time to keep your pup company and take them on neighborhood strolls. Our neighborhood is extremely dog friendly, so your pup will love all the smells and seeing new friendly faces. I am available for boarding on weekdays and (by request) on some weekends. We often have pup play dates with neighborhood dogs, and I spend many evenings taking Honey to Point Isabel or Redwood Regional for hikes and evenings walks or to the Berkeley Ohlone Dog Park or Alameda Dog Park.
