I have diverse experience working with dogs (cats, and other animals) in a variety of settings including in a clinical setting as a vet tech, at a doggie daycare/boarding facility, and in the home as a pet sitter. I've been living alongside dogs and/or cats since I was a baby. I am naturally good around dogs, especially when it comes to reading behavioral cues and training. I have been dog walking and pet sitting for the last 6 months full-time as my primary income. I currently have a mini aussie named Caiya. Caiya was a breeding dog for a puppy mill and was rescued after 3.5 years. She was very timid and fearful when I first brought her home, whenever I would walk near her she would shake and back up before rolling onto her back in submission. She also had no prior training. Within 3 days she was housebroken and after a week she was walking nicely on a leash without pulling or trying to escape. She will even tell me when she needs to go outside now and will eagerly run up to me when I tell her it's time to go for a walk, and I've only had her for a month! She sleeps next to me every night and will take treats from my hands. Through patience and a lot of love I've taught this beautiful dog that humans can be loving, kind, and worthy of trust.
