My own shy dog has opened my eyes about the need for fear-free care. I have spent a lot of time learning about behavior and strategies to help keep dogs happy and safe. I love all dogs and going for walks. I would be happy to give your dogs the care and attention they deserve.

Heather is amazing! This is her second time with our boys and just like the last time she dropped in for a few days it went very smoothly. Heather is attentive, patient, and kind with us and our boys. She is excellent with our behavioral dog, which gives us peace of mind when we are away from home. I use harnesses with a safety strap to a collar for my own reactive/escape artist dog. We walk only in safe environments, where the dog feels comfortable. I recognize when a dog feels stressed or uncomfortable, and aim to keep every experience positive.

I love to keep dogs engaged mentally and physically. Walks around the neighborhood or community parks for that physical exercise, as well as puzzle games, lick mats, snuffle mats, and training to stimulate them mentally.

Available mornings and evenings (before and after work). I work from home with some flexibility, so I can provide limited lunchtime-midday if requested. Complete availability on weekends.
