I am the ultimate animal-lover and really enjoy spending time with them. I have grown up with both dogs and cats and have a plethora of experience caring for them. I have volunteered at several animal rescues and enjoy every minute of the time I spend with them. I am confident that my skills and experience make me a great candidate to take care of your fur babies. I love all types—I adore and appreciate the beauty and differences in each breed. I love their energy and their love for their owners. Years ago, I rescued a young Pitbull, named Ox, from a puppy mill and made sure I provided an amazing home for him. When he first came to me he had severe dermatitis and was exhibiting some behavioral issues. I administered meds everyday to make sure he was comfortable.(this was good practice for my cats….) I was able to get Ox’s issues under control. After Ox I rescued 2 cats that were dumped at the animal hospital near me. Pink and Floyd were amazing but had a few medical issues. Floyd had a bladder problem which meant he needed to be given steroids everyday to keep his bladder working. Pink had diabetes which necessitated me giving him twice daily insulin injections. Through the years I have had my beloved pets pass on but I think fondly on the care that I was able to give them and the love I received in return. Due to moving and apartment issues I have not been able to adopt another dog but love to take care and play with other people’s dogs :) My dog nephew, Gus, is a blind French bulldog who has anxiety and needs a lot of TLC. I take care of him once a week when the parents are at work. I have also taken care of elderly dogs to make sure they receive their proper exercise and medications if needed. (Pic included) I have experience in handling multiple dogs at once and providing each pet with the companionship and exercise that they need to feel healthy and happy. I would absolutely love to take care of your dog, big, small, huge, mean, sweet. I do understand that when the owners are not around it can sometimes be tough on them.
