Hello! My name is Heather, and I have been caring for dogs my entire life. I have two spoiled rotten dogs myself! Dogs are trusted and loyal companions who bring such joy into our homes. And when we're away, we want them to be kept safe and comfortable, and that's where I come in. When you hire me, you can have peace of mind that your pet(s) and home will be well taken care of and highly respected. I am honest and caring in all that I do. I will play with your pooch, feed them according to your directions, give meds as necessary, and add my special touch: doggie massage! Just ask my dogs and clients dogs...I'm sure they'll all tell you I give the best doggie massages EVER! If you have a walking schedule, of course I will do that too. But it doesn't end there! An empty house can be a target for wrong doers, but if you choose the option for me to stay at your home, I will bring in the paper & mail, take out the garbage, water plants, etc., no one will know you're away (well, except for those YOU tell!), offering you even greater peace of mind. I highly recommend the stay at home option because this is where your pet(s) is most comfortable, however, I will accept one or two dogs at my home if you prefer. I do have references, and my reputation means everything to me. Please contact me for availability and an interview to see if you, Rover, and I are a good fit! For sitting at my house, I require a meet and greet with my dogs to make sure everybody gets along. I also require your dog(s) to be vaccinated and flea/tick treated as mine are. By the way, my fee is $50/night in your home & $35/night at my home, not per dog. If you have multiple dogs & the fee shows up $50/dog, don't worry, I can edit that to reflect the proper amount after we connect. I worked for a local vet as a teenager, and have been dog sitting since I was a kid. I have no "professional" training, just a lot of love, and practical experience. Why I love dog sitting The only time I did not have at least one dog in my life was during college, then I took in stray cats! I come by it naturally as my dad and sister are also dog lovers. Between the three of us, Mom never had a chance! I have been a part of the joy of bringing puppies into the world, as well as knowing the pain losing a faithful companion. But I've loved each one for the joy they've brought and continue to bring into my life. Dog sitting gives me the opportunity to help w/one of the difficult parts of having pets...knowing they will be well taken care of while you're away. I've met some wonderful people & dogs along the way, and have actually developed some special relationships thru sitting. My experience administering medication I can administer pills and give shots (I vaccinate my own dogs).
