Just lost my doodle to lymphoma

Pet care experience

I’m 36 years old and I’ve had a dog since I was five. I recently lost my seven year old golden doodle to lymphoma. He did treatment for 13 months. I know how to take care of sick animals, healthy animals, big animals, and small animals. In 2021 Porter, that was my doodle, and I traveled the United States and did pet sits for free places to stay. I have experience at all walks of life. We even lived and worked on a ranch for a while outside of Yosemite.

We are so thankful we found Heather! She was excellent with our dog, Olivia. She communicated wonderfully throughout Livy’s stay and sent lots of pictures! She was also super flexible and helped accommodate a last minute flight change! I cannot recommend Heather enough!

This was our first time leaving Sadie with anyone overnight and Heather made the process so easy. She was so welcoming to us and to Sadie - she asked if we could bring Sadie a bit early so she could play and get settled at her house before Heather had to leave for an appointment. We didn't mind and it definitely made the transition easier for Sadie. You can tell that Heather really loves dogs and wants to make them feel comfortable in her home. We appreciated the updates and know that our puppy was well taken care of when we were out of town. We'll definitely use Heather again!

My profile says I can only do one dog at a time. That means I will not take two dogs that do not know each other at the same time. If you’re a family that has more than one dog, I would watch siblings . I have a small unfenced backyard but a fenced in playground next door. A have a great walkable neighborhood and used to walk Porter 2 miles everyday before work. I have a big 4Runner for adventures in the woods and I’m an avid hiker.

Information Heather O. would like to know about your pet

Obviously medications/medical concerns and behavioral issues must be discussed prior to agreement. I just went through chemo with my dog and I wouldn’t travel a lot and leave him, I know what that’s like and I’m here to help.

A typical day

I love to walk in the beautiful cemetery near me in Lowell. Or local trails like mine falls in Nashua NH. Or Benson’s animal farm in Hudson NH

I recently left my full-time job to focus on building my pet care clientele. I’d rather do something rewarding then come home every day burned out. I adore animals and since I no longer have one I love spending time with other peoples pets and giving them the time and attention they need and deserve while their parents are busy working or away.
