Pet care experience
I have always had a dog to take care of growing up. I also have had a dog the whole time while I was in medical school, and I love him as my "son." I am taking some time off for research, and I hoping to get to love on some furry kids in my free time! I love to be outside, so I am happy to take your fur baby to a local park or just take them around the block. I have experience with dogs big and small. I have owned both tiny Yorkies and giant Saint Bernards, so I am equipped to handle them all. I also have plenty of experience with both high energy puppies and lazy fluffy couch dogs. I am happy to adapt! I also used to volunteer at the Greater Birmingham Humane Society in college, so I have experience with dogs that are a bit shy to warm up. Respect for a dog's personal space is very important.

I have not size or breed preferences, but I would like to know what to expect behaviorally out of the dog. I would also like to know the treat policy and how he/she behaves around other animals.
A typical day
I live next to a big dog park, so I would be happy to bring them there. I am very active, so I am happy to play any time of ball or frisbee if your dog desires. I am also just as happy coming and playing with toys in the comfort of your dog's own house. I also have a dog of my own, and if your dog likes to play with other dogs, or he/she needs dog socialization, I would be happy to introduce them.
