I have had dogs in my life since I was 7 years old. I have had 8 dogs over the past 30 years 2 of which were a long term foster when my parents moved and no longer had outdoor space for them to run and play. Most of my dogs have been rescue pets and a joy raise knowing they they might not have survived living as a stray. I have helped raise a litter of 5 mixed retriever/chow puppies. My current dogs are two miniature Australian Shepherd half-sisters aged 2 and 4. I have a lot of flexibility in my available hours to help you find the best care for your furry family member. I have spent a lot of time with dogs ranging from 2lbs-85lbs.

I have taken dogs for walks in their neighborhoods and let dogs outside in their fenced in yard as requested by previous owners. I have cared for puppies that needed several visits per day and early training with sitting and waiting and crate training.

I do not have any breed preferences as most dogs I've met have been absolutely wonderful. I would like to know if your dog has any "quirks" like excessive pulling or aggressive behaviors around other dogs so we can avoid potential issues and instead have a wonderful experience.
A typical day
I will take your dog on walks in your own neighborhood or can transport to the nearest walking or hiking trails if that is your preference. We can play fetch, frisbee, tug-of-war, or just take a nice stroll.

I work a part-time job that has variable days from week to week so each week is different for me. I can only make availability a couple weeks in advance, but might be the last minute helper you need in a pinch!
