Background in training and vet med
Pet care experience
I have had animals most of my life. I have experience training dogs and experience working in an emergency veterinary hospital. I have my service dog that I trained myself named Nikko who is a golden retriever and a cat named Ruth. They are my whole life. My friends and family would describe me as trustworthy, honest and compassionate. I love animals of all types and sizes. Giant breeds are my favorite, the bigger the better! I also have done a little bit of work with aggressive dogs or dogs with behavioral issues to help rehabilitate them.
Reviews
Heather was wonderful! She took excellent care of our kitties and we will definitely use her again.
I'm picky when it comes to dog sitters, and I would happily leave my elderly doggo with Heather. She's very cognizant of how much a dog depends on her, and she takes the responsibility to them seriously. Her own dog is extremely well trained, an excellent canine citizen, which I think is particularly telling. If you want your dog to come home with better manners than when they left, pick Heather!
Heather has been nothing less than FANTASTIC at caring for my dog. I have known Heather for many years and she has shown complete dedication to loving and caring for dogs. She is knowledgeable and efficient.
Heather is wonderful with animals. She has a great understanding of each animal's individual personalities and preferences as well as a strong knowledge of what animals need to thrive.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is the most important thing. I treat others pets as I would my own making safety, love, and compassion high on my list. I treat peoples pets and home with respect. I follow directions even if it might not be what I do with my own pet.
Information Heather M. would like to know about your pet
Are there any forms of aggression? (An animal with this problem does not mean they are bad pet and there is no reason to feel guilty about it. It is important to know for the safety of the animal itself, other animals, and other people) Does the animal have any medical conditions? What medications does the animal take? Is the animal friendly with other pets and humans? Has the animal been properly vaccinated? Is the animal spayed or neutered? Does the animal have a history of foreign bodies or bowel blockages? Its good to know so I can better prevent the eating of random things. Any food allergies?
A typical day
Ill take the time to get to know your pet. We will have a blast together walking and spending time in our favorite trails and hanging out.
