Hello! I'm Heather, a 40 year old woman who works as an EA for the Nanaimo School District but I have spare time in the evenings, weekends, Xmas break, spring break and summers to help care for your pet. I live alone so they will get all my love and attention. :) I grew up on a petting farm, we took in stray animals and my mom ran a dog grooming shop in our home. I spent time helping with all of the animals. I volunteer to walk senior dogs for ELDERDOG Canada as well. I love to be outside, hiking trails, visiting the beach, camping etc and would be delighted to bring your pooch with me! I believe in using positive reinforcement (whether that be treats, toys, vocal encouragement or whatever you've found works best for your dog) to encourage the behaviors we want.
